Baxton Studio Siskal Modern Cube Ottoman, White, Set of 2,

I paid around $75 for the set with free Prime Shipping. They arrived 7 days after I placed the order. Although they appeared as if they were packaged just fine, one of them had a small tear that looks as if it got stabbed with a knife. I requested a replacement and since I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt (that this will be a smooth, hassle-free experience), I'll review the ottomans without taking this flaw into consideration. (Will update review if necessary.)UPDATE: I received a non-damaged replacement in a few days. :-)This is the 5th furniture piece I've purchased by Baxton Studio. I've learned that their products can be awesome OR highly disappointing. I find this one to be in the first category.FUNCTIONALITY | Not only are these ottomans pretty, they're also highly functional! They're one of the few furniture peices that I can trust my kids not to break. (LOL!) They're soft enough to be comfortable to sit on, yet firm enough to maintain shape when weight is applied to them.SIZE | I find the size to be perfect as an accent piece. The dimensions are ideal for placement in front of a couch or an armchair. They fill horizontal space nicely yet the height doesn't obstruct the vertical view. (They don't block the view of my favorite floor lamp.) NOTE: I wouldn't recommend buying this as a main furniture component (eg: Placing together as a coffee table/using for primary seating) unless you intend to place them in a very small room. They're probably too small to be a feature element.COLOR/DESIGN | The color is a TRUE white... It's not cream, beige, or eggshell, ect. In combination with the tufting, it gives them a very crisp, clean look.MATERIAL | The "leather-like" material is easy-to-clean. Most importantly, it does NOT look tacky. It seems to be of a decent quality and I expect them to hold up well with time.HEADS UP!!! These have legs on the bottom (I couldn't tell by the product description or pictures so I imagine that most people will be unaware of this as well). This results in static positioning so you can't just place them on any of the 4 sides... In other words: Only one of the sides can serve as the top. From my perspective (thinking down the road), this is a disadvantage as you won't be able to flip them to a new position in the event that one of the sides suffers damage. However, the advantage is that this design seems to improve the ottoman's stability.Overall, I find these ottomans to be worthy of the price. Great job Baxton Studio!

First, let’s talk about shipping. The items were delivered to the preferred hub pickup destination one week earlier then specified. That’s good thing, however I never received any notification of the early delivery. I just happened to check my Amazon account to ensure there were delays as I really wanted them for extra sitting for home gathering scheduled this week. So I can cross the pickup off my to-do-list. Secondly, when I went to pick the item, my name wasn’t on the package any where. Thank goodness for QR code it was finally located and giving description that should one large box or maybe two large boxes. Now for ottoman, themselves. I love the color. It is definitely a pure white. Construction of the tufting is well done. They are comfortable sitting and I’m 5’4 weighing 160 pounds. They seem sturdy to accommodate my weight. The packaged securely, however I do understand why some reviewers experienced broken legs. The legs should secured in a better way considering they are just plastic and are already attached to the ottomans. They should maybe have some type of protective packaging or not attached at all because if the box is mishandled and dropped/thrown on the wrong side the little leg attachments can be easily broken. That indeed was concern when I made the purchase. Pleased I didn’t have that issue. I am going to change the legs at some point to an acrylic leg which is more inclined to my decor. Overall, I’d give the ottomans a 10 based on quality and price. A good value. 7 rating for packaging based previous reviews and see the packaging could be a lot better to prevent damage. And lastly only a 5 for shipping since I wasn’t notified if the early delivery and my name but on the box.

these are soft brown tweed shade of matieral. they blend in well with the bedroom color scheme. we are pleased to have found these

Love these little ottomans! Really good quality, no assembly needed and they look great! Very sturdy, great accents for my chairs!

Nice-looking Ottomans covered in synthetic material.They're lightweight, but feel sturdy and are lightly padded, making them comfortable for casual seating or use as a foot stool. The tufting is on all sides but the bottom. The vinyl material looks believably like leather, though it's obviously not when touched. Surprisingly attractive, sturdy Ottomans considering the price for a pair. There's no "give" when I sit on them (nearly 200lbs).If I had to quibble, I'm not a huge fan of the tufting on the sides. If the bottom was tufted also (and footless), the cubes could be used in any orientation-- handy when the tops eventually fade or are damaged. But as it is, they can only be used with the one side on top. The removable feet are hard plastic and two of them show cracks already (from shipping, but still). The vinyl could be a little softer like pleather.All that said, these are amazing for the price, and better than I expected to find. Recommended.

I’ve had these for 3 years now. It’s been thrown around, colored on by toddlers, moved between houses, and it still looks new. They’re easy to clean and stain resistant. I wasn’t expecting these to last this long, but they have. I totally recommend these! They can be used as foot stool, vanity stool, and so much more.

I spent a lot of time looking around online and in stores for a nice ottoman that I could use when I am sitting at my desk and taking a break (home office) and when I am gaming. Honestly, I just love these small ottomans. They are the perfect height and the quality is very good. I have 6 cats, so I was afraid of getting anything with fabric - the cats even enjoy sitting on them when I am not using them. They clean up wonderfully. They tuck away under my desk when not in use or against the wall with the TV nicely and looking wonderful. I would defintely recommend these to everyone.

I purchased these stools because of their dimensions, weight and color. I think it's 13 lb each, and only 14 inch square. Rather than buy an expensive but ugly dog staircase to allow my small pooch to get up on the new bed easier, (28 inch from floor) I got these as a bench for her to jump up on first and act as a step! She has used it that way, and is getting older. They are nice quality, sterdy enough to even sit/stand on, and have a nice white, shiny faux leather look.
