I have other bars however for what I do for a living this is the perfect tool.

Was replacing the one I lost. I was very excited to find the exact one I lost love this flat bar.

I purchased four of these pry bars as an emergency tool should I ever get locked in an inside room. I have four inside rooms with no windows and last year (due to a construction worker's accidental carelessness) I got completely locked into one room without any tools to get me out and no one around to help. Lucky I live in a condo where my screaming was finally heard after 40 minutes. The police, who unsuccessfully busted my front door but could not open it, were able to get to me with the help of a neighbor who climbed the side of my building to enter from another location. They finally freed me after 1 hour and 35 minutes of confinement.Since then I've been looking for a pry bar that I could keep in each of these inside rooms as a precaution to not only save me future embarrassment but to also possibly save my life.I researched ordinary pry bars like the  Vaughan B215 15-Inch Long Original SuperBar  but settled on this one because of the angle. After receiving these, I made sure they could get a grip between the door jam and the door of each room. Although this tool is thick, there are spots along each door that would provide enough space to slide this tool and where there would be enough leverage to work. Since these are hollow-core doors, even if I'm unable to open the door, this tool would probably allow me to break it apart.My initial impression is that these are hefty and the angle of the pry bar acts as a fulcrum to provide leverage for prying apart various materials such as paneling, molding, and even prying up nails. This may also come in handy to lift up or tilt furniture in a pinch for moving purposes.

Used for removing old house siding and nails. Very solid. Performs exactly as expected.

Thanks to Stanley for this wonderful, efficient tool. Our need for this tool was to help remove furniture sliders under a huge, very heavy Bernhardt china cabinet. I had emptied the top, mirrored hutch of all crystal and dishes and had it moved while we waited on workers to finish a home project for us. When the project was completed, I forgot to get help moving the unit back in place and removing the sliders..so I went to Amazon and read all the reviews for these kind of 'crow bar' tools and chose this Stanley 55-525 model. It worked just as advertised and did not damage our new ceramic, wood-look plank flooring. The cabinet is extremely heavy and I was concerned we might crack the flooring, so we slipped a bit of the bubble-wrap packing material under it to remove one slider, then used that slider under the part of the tool that rests on the floor when pressure is applied. It worked beautifully...and deserves the full 5 stars from me (age 73) and my spouse (age 72) who will now have a handy helper in our house.

Made in Mexico, not China. Thick spring steel is perfect for any tough job. I bought this to remove nails from a few shingles, to fix a leak. The bulge makes a perfect pivot point so no wooden block is needed, Hammering on the side of the bar, I was able to cut through the shingle adhesive strip and replace the same shingle after the leak fix.I should have bought this decades ago....

This nail-puller is very effective and easy to use. I have a Fat Max wrecking bar, the Stanley puller, and a Tek nail puller. When a tough job comes up, I try hammer claws first, then Tek, and then the Stanley. Rarely do I have to use the Fat Max. The Stanley almost always does the trick.

Sturdy and will last well. Also the curve gives it great leverage power.

Works as it’s supposed to but found the same bar at a local hardware store for half the price
