VOLT Fat Boy 12V Brass Outdoor Spotlight (Bronze) for Landscape Lighting

As part of a residential home build, we used these to uplight a large oak tree and the results are stunning. Setup: We installed 6 fixtures spaced around the tree at varying distances and angles—some closer to the trunk for strong vertical highlights, others set back to wash the canopy. This layered approach creates even, full coverage with great depth (no harsh hotspots or dark gaps). Brightness: Excellent output. These easily illuminate a large, mature tree from base to canopy. Ease of use: Our electrician tied all fixtures into a single switch by the back patio door, which makes it incredibly convenient to turn everything on/off at once. Appearance: Clean, professional look. The warm light enhances the natural texture of the bark and reads high-end at night. Quality: Solid brass construction feels durable and built for outdoor use. Value: Performs like a much more expensive landscape lighting setup. Overall: If you’re lighting a feature tree or focal point, using multiple fixtures at different angles like this gives a really polished, designer-level result.

I bought these to match the landscape light package I purchased for my house from Volt. The light itself looks great and looks durable. The wire it came with pre-installed was a bit short but not really an issue. I had these connected in minutes and works perfectly. I only gave it a 4 star as for the cost of the unit, it did not include a bulb. I know you can buy it with the bulb but the price is just insane compared to other led bulbs you can purchase from Amazon. Besides that it is a great light.

Had a landscape company do my front yard. Like most of these things, it went way over budget. He suggested I install my own lighting. After checking around (mostly Reddit) the Volt brand was highly rated for the DIY projects. Ordered a bunch, a spool of correct wire, some IP67 wire nuts and a toroidal power transformer. Side cutters, a decent wire stripper and a rubber mallet to pound in the anchor spikes and a spade to cut a slice in the turf to bury the wire are the only tools required. A couple of hours of sweat equity and boom. Professional level lightscaping. 5W LED bulbs finish the job (I'm gonna have to get a lower watt one for the address stone). 7 lights run from dusk to dawn 7 days a week and cost $1.25 to $1.75 per month in electricity where i live.
