Strongly Recommend

This is a nice little product to lighten up any kitchen sink! (Get it? Lighten?) I received this a few weeks after I ordered it, but for the price you can get it for (I paid $2.50) that is a sacrifice I was willing to make. I would strongly recommend kitchen sinks for this because it does add an additional two inches to the vertical length of the faucet, space that is usually hard to come by in the bathroom sink.My Faucet that I received was a slightly older version thank the one available now. The only difference that I can see in the description is the colors are switched around on my faucet: green is cold, blue is warm, and red is hot. This item is very easy to install and operate. Installation is as easy as taking off the net of the faucet that comes standard, screwing in an adapter into the faucet, and then screwing the new faucet tip onto the adapter. It tool me about a minute and a half to get it fully functional. The newest temperature ranges are:Less than 90 F = BlueBetween 90 F and 106 F = Green106 F to 115 F = Red115 F or higher = Flashing Red (Very hot, be careful or you will burn yourself here)I have only seen the blue level and green level on my sink water, but every home/apartment will have a different water heater and thus, a different range of temperatures available. The lights in this faucet are quite bright. I have used it on a very sunny day and I have no trouble seeing the light on the faucet, in the sink, and in the water. It only becomes easier to see as it gets darker outside. The battery life on these look great as well:forever! There are no internal batteries powering the LED, instead there is a little power generator inside the faucet that creates enough electricity when the water is flowing fast enough. It does require a certain volume flow of water for it to work, however. A trickle of water will not be enough to power the lights.Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase and look forward to an enlightening time in my kitchen. (Did you catch it this time?) I would strongly recommend this to anyone looking for something easy and fun in their home.

USE YOUR HEADS.. It's AWESOME!

I giggle like a fool -every - single - time- I turn on my faucet. It's just a unique treat that I gifted to myself. Ok, this is the IMPORTANT part.**** It costs about $6.00 (that is six US Dollars.) Ok, 6 bucks. I pay nearly that for a Java chip/extra chip Frappawhatever at Starbucks. You are NOT going to purchase a household fixture that does clever tricks for under $10 (yes, ten US..) and have it remain reliable and in working order for an extended period of time. If it works for a week, clap and laugh... I did. It's been over a month and mine's still there making me grin, honestly even chuckle literally EVERY time I turn the water on.----- IF YOU FEEL THE NEED TO COMPLAIN, GROW UP. Seriously I'm embarassed FOR you. I know a secret, lots of us do, it's called "Logical thinking." Have some dignity, hmmm, it's less than a Combo at Jack in the Box AND it has to work mechanically... hmmm (here's where the rest of us naturally continue) .. I like the concept and will enjoy it for what it is, then order it throwing caution to the wind~~~ I'm guessing the rest of you feel like you've made a life decision and been intentionally sabotaged by receiving a non-eternal product? what? I honestly am curious. It will do neat things then poof, that'll be it. Enjoy the time you get with it, it's pretty much a toy for adults. What other outcome are you expecting? I don't care if my spontaneously explodes this very night, I'll still be thrilled and guess what.. I'll LEAP onto amazon to order a replacement right then!!!! funfunfunfun. For the record: I am a 39 year old nbm single mother of 3. I am in the top 2% (yeah, Mensa baby) as far as intelligence goes. I will freely admit I am a social misfit. Odd or not, I literally consist of justifications and rationalization. It's how I function. Generally I stay in my homemade cave, and stay out of things. It's easier on me that way... but this: I had to point out the complete nonsense I see in the negativity and anger over six dollars (us) hahaha

And the winner of the "Bad Product of the Year Award" goes to...

This Exceptionally Bad product. It is really hard to take working components (LED, sensor, batteries) and turn them into something completely un-redeemable. I recycle, upcycle, and hang onto just about everything. So, I'll hang onto the pieces of these things. But, I still feel I've been taken advantage of and shamefully used. At $1.50 each, I figured huh, why not....worth a try, right? Wrong! Wow. I've never had a product fail this spectacularly. I hate to give this product even a single star. No, these people owe ME a star!I bought three...one worked twice...one made it all the way up to about 5 cycles! The third didn't even bother getting dressed for the occasion. They are supposed to turn on when water conducts current through two exposed leads inside the chamber (at least that what seems to be the design). When the water shuts off, the water should vacate the chamber, the LED should stop. Sounds easy enough. And, yes, one of them did work for a few cycles. But, then the things decide that all that turning on and off is too confusing. Let's just stay on, shall we! If it does continue to cycle, then you better get your thick-skin on because the temperature sensitivity is set so that "Red" activates somewhere near boiling (okay, that's an exaggeration but only a slight one.). Oh, and don't get me started on the ridiculous threading. You'll do some serious "counting to 10" when you try to thread any of the connections together. It's like playing "operation..." you'll need an incredibly steady hand. And when you get it just right, the little boogers strip with only a tiny bit of tightening. Duct tape would work better. It wouldn't be as pretty, but there wouldn't be all the leaking. I'm thinking I might hang onto them and drop them in the toilet bowl next time I throw a party. Might be cool to have glowing water in the bowl. When people ask if I dropped a flashlight in there, I can say "no, it's just a glowing piece of @#$%."...because that pretty much sums things up.

Dishonest business practices. Rip Off.

Nothing like the picture , Wrong item (just random colors Not temp controlled) and over all I feel I was lied to , the item in the picture by the way is a much nicer version I have that type on the rest of my taps, one broke so I got this but nothing like the description or picture , Dont waste your money or time. the 4 stars are for shipping speed only. And I can confirm This does not Fit any standard tap sizes it is Not for North american sized taps, maybe for another county. So I cant even use it for anything :) thanks for the rip off Hog Wild.

Good for the kids

The one I got has the colors for the temperature wired in the wrong order but otherwise it works well.

Cheap and designed badly

stopped working after a couple of months, and the screw base is too short for some sinks; plastic feels and looks cheap as well.

Waste of money

Complete waste of money. Did not fit on our faucet and did not produce any light when we tried it (held it by hand under the faucet).Went straight into the garbage can.
