Big Taste for Big Kittens
If you’re the proud parent of a Maine Coon kitten, you know they’re not just big in size, but also big in personality. And when it comes to feeding those big personalities, Royal Canin has you covered with their Maine Coon Breed Dry Kitten Food. Specially formulated to meet the nutritional needs of your Maine Coon kitten during its critical growth stages, this kibble is packed with all the goodness to support their unique needs.PROS:• Tailored for Maine Coon kittens: This food is made specifically for the nutritional needs of Maine Coon kittens, with just the right balance of proteins, fats, and vitamins.• Supports bone and joint health: With Maine Coons growing into large cats, this formula includes nutrients like calcium and phosphorus to help maintain healthy bones and joints.• Boosts immune system: Packed with antioxidants like vitamin E, this food helps support a healthy immune system, which is important for your kitten’s overall well-being.• Digestive health: The kibble is designed to support good digestion, which is great for your kitten’s sensitive stomach, especially during the weaning process.• Tasty and easy to chew: The kibble is perfectly sized and shaped for your Maine Coon kitten’s large mouth and developing teeth, making it easy to munch on. Plus, they’ll love the taste.CONS:• Not for all breeds: This food is specifically designed for Maine Coons, so if you have a different breed, it may not be the ideal fit.• Pricey: Royal Canin is known for high-quality ingredients, but with that comes a higher price tag, so it might not be the most budget-friendly option for everyone.• Some picky eaters may not love it: While most kittens seem to enjoy it, some picky eaters may need a little extra encouragement to dive in.• Only available in select sizes: If you’re looking for a larger bag for your growing kitten, the 3 lb size might require frequent re-purchasing, which can be a bit inconvenient. In conclusion, Royal Canin Maine Coon Breed Dry Kitten Food is a fantastic option for your growing Maine Coon. It’s got everything you need to support their health and growth, from bone support to digestive care. Plus, the specialized formula ensures your kitten gets the exact nutrients needed for their large frame and playful personality. If you’re raising a Maine Coon, this food is a great choice, even if it might be a little pricier than the average kibble.

The Best Kitten food for your Maine Coon
This cat food is the optimal choice for a Maine Coon. Although it is somewhat pricey, it provides excellent nutrition for our feline companion. As a purebred Maine Coon kitten, she requires all the nutrients this food offers. The cost is justified given her exceptional health. I go through about a bag every 2 weeks. It comes very fresh. There is no smell. The bag is very colorful.

Avid Royal Canin Fan
So, I will preface this review by saying that I have fed my cats Royal Canin (Urinary S/O) for over a decade now. My oldest boy is turning 16 in April and was diagnosed with struvite crystals in 2013, and he will begin to block on Hills or Purina. That being said I place a LOT of trust in Royal Canin’s cat food//kitty kibble.I recently brought Samhain into my home on Halloween. I want to make sure he has the best of the best food (my kitties are given purified bottled water, so that should help tell you how crazy I am with their diet lol) and I use kitty kibble to help balance his diet out as I feed him meat like chicken and fish for dinner, but our vet says it’s just not enough for a growing Coon and he needs extra supplements-OR a good kibble to give him everything he needs. The vet then recommended this stuff, and I immediately ordered a bag because of my faith in this company. He is 9 months old now and has no problem eating this kibble. I don’t think this would be appropriate for a young/smaller Coon, as the kibble is pretty sizable even with it being their “kitten” kind. I personally wouldn’t recommend this for a baby Coon that’s just starting to eat kibble, this is great for a bigger kitten that’s approaching adulthood. As for the impact it has had on Samhain, it’s a fantastic food! His coat is GORGEOUS and feels soft and luxurious. He has had minimal shedding, no matting (he doesn’t like being brushed yet so this has been a big help), and oh my gosh he has been growing like a weed! Obviously it could simply be a growth spurt but he had seemed to have slowed down dramatically after he hit the 8 month mark, then ramped up again after about a week on this kibble. It is pretty pricey for the amount you’re getting, it does say “3lbs” so I’m sure the size won’t surprise you if you read the description all the way through/registered that as a VERY small bag, but it’s still worth mentioning. $30 is a lot of money for 3lbs of non-prescription cat kibble, and I cannot say that it’s justified to be completely honest with you. It’s a great kibble if you can afford the expense, however please don’t break your bank shelling out beaucoup money for this specific kibble. In my opinion, you’d be ok with just using the regular non-breed specific RC kibble options. All of their food is really really good!I give Samhain a handful of this kibble for breakfast in the morning and he has access to the prescription kibble all day long (seriously, that prescription kibble is CHEAPER than this stuff…crazy), and it’s still made a noticeable difference in his appearance. It’s definitely worth the expense and you can even mix it with another kibble and still give your baby the nutrients this stuff provides without spending a crazy amount of money doing so.

He loves it
He started off with another expensive brand continued from the breeder, but the pieces were tiny. I noticed he would hardly touch it after awhile since he's grown to a larger size starting at around 4 months. He devours this stuff. I feel the cost is totally worth it and subscribed so we won't run out. I only wish it came in larger quantities.
