The Batman Who Laughs Hardcover – September 3, 2019

An enjoyable and relatively quick read with a plot that is engaging and rewarding for the reader. Amazing art throughout that screams chaos and control. I would definitely recommend this to those even just dipping a toe into the bat’s world.

I thoroughly enjoyed both this story and the art. I have yet to read a bad story by Scott Snyder. I love the way he writes Batman. He really gets the character and comes up with the most unique stories/situations to put Batman in. I just had to get the deluxe edition for this book because I also love Jock’s artwork. Scott Snyder/Jock is one of my favorite combinations on a Batman book, tied with Scott Snyder/Greg Capullo. Not only is the quality excellent, but I greatly appreciate it when the same artist is used throughout a book. I find it jarring when the art drastically changes from chapter to chapter as a result of a different artist (not that they aren’t good. I just prefer consistency.)If I had to complain about anything, it would be the font used for the Batman Who Laughs. Yes, the jagged red text really did suit his character, but it was very difficult for me to read on a black/dark grey background.I highly recommend this book to Batman fans who love darker stories with moody illustrations.

This Character is the best! This book puts together the basics of who he is in the realm of Gotham and Batman. Get to know the simple story. The rest is a bit muchAbout the process.... Great quality and delivered perfectly.

Can be a bit confusing at times but otherwise a great book and amazing art

I could not have loved this story more. I read all of dark knights metal. It is confusing. Good but confusing. This story is absolutely amazing. I love Jock's dark art. It was perfect for this story. I underestimated how good this could be. I loved every second of this. On top of that the perticuler version I got, the hard cover with the fantastic sleeve and under cover is just spectacular. If you haven't read this you really need to. Huge for a Batman fan. So dark. Really, really good. Don't hesitate and get the hard cover. DC makes these special hard covers so wonderful. This book is A+++

A arte é maravilhosa. Principalmente o efeito causado pelo visor.me lembra Elektra dos anos 90 com visões insanas... causadas pelo trauma. A história começa bem, no meio dá uma traqueostomia. Mas , se recompõe e faz um gran-finale.... adorei

What the actual heck?! I absolutely ripped through this run in less than 2 days! I knew I liked Snyder’s work, so I knew I would be in for a treat, but wow, I didn’t know I was in for a whirlwind, a real roller coaster ride, a non stop bullet train to mind melt. Was a great story, it was tight, focused, action packed, tense, driven, engaging, and just breathless fun. The interplay of the three different batmen, and the literary device of the black letter text and red letter text to visual indicate how far gone the transformation was was superb, I loved all the little details like that that were clueing me in to what was happening.Beyond that the visual were stunning and vivid, really really great.This might be one off if not my all time favorite Batman ark, fantastic execution of an amazing idea.
