Mann Filter CU 8430 Cabin Filter for select BMW models

This my second year of using this specific filter for my 2015 BMW X1 and have been pretty happy with it. Perfect fit and will buy again before the next filter change.

This Mann cabin air filter is OEM quality and a perfect fit for our 2015 BMW X1. The dark side is carbon impregnated, which is exactly what you want to remove volatile airborne contaminants. Just six screws to remove the filter housing under the hood, then undo the plastic clips holding the filter in the housing. Getting new filter back in the housing is a little tricky - just take your time and don't break the plastic tabs. It may help to warm-up the housing and filter to room temperature, so the plastic is more pliable. Be sure to clean-out any leaves, dirt or debris under the filter housing before re-assembling.

After 3 secs a warning triangle will appear, keep the odo. button pressed and after another 2-3 secs the Oil can will appear. I f you hold it too long (10 secs in total) you will overshoot the runway and some German writing will appear giving the software level/ can bus etc. of the car. Go back to the beginning and start again.Step 4You are now in the service menu, use the toggle switch on indicator stalk to scroll up/down through the various service items.Step 5When you have the item you want to reset showing, press the BC button on end of indicator stalk. Reset should now appear in the display. Press in and hold the BC button for 2-3 secs and a clock will start whirling around and hey presto, its doneStep 6You can now either scroll up/down to select another item (as in step 4) or you can press the start/stop button to exit.

High quality filter that fits my car; product arrived snapped at cross piece and a tab was broken off. Since I didn’t check its integrity before I took out my old filter (and dropped a bolt in the process), I put it in and made it work. It’s been fine. I think it helped with my car’s interior residual smoke smell.

Ordered this Mann filter for a 2006 BMW E90 and it fits perfectly. It took no more than 10 minutes to replace the microfilter on this car and to reset the service light. To do the install, you only need an 8mm socket and driver to remove the microfilter housing. Once the microfilter housing is off, release the microfilter from the tabs that are holding it in place. Then reverse the process (you may need to use a little force to insert the microfilter back into the housing). To reset your service light, insert your fob key and press the start button (do not depress the brake pedal). Wait for the warning lights to go away and the temp and time to show in the instrument panel, then press and hold the odometer trip reset until the oil can appears. Now, you're in the service menu. On your turn signal stalk, use the up/down toggle to cycle through the different services until the microfilter service indicator comes on. To reset the service interval, press the BC button on your turn signal stalk to get the reset option and then press and hold the BC button until you see a timer icon. Done!

I just purchased a 2007 BMW 335i sedan and started to go through it and replace the filters and fluids.The car had a cellar smell to it and I thought I'd change out the cabin air filter. I found a DIY video on how to change the cabin filter and it looked really easy so I attempted it. All you have to do is remove the screws that hold the filter housing and pull out the old one. The old one was dark grey and full of dirt. So I cleaned up the filter housing and sprayed Lysol disinfectant spray into the vent openings where the air flows into the car. Apparently, moisture gets in there and over time mold can grow on the blower fins causing a musty smell. A good dose of Lysol on the filter and I installed it back in the car.This filter fit perfectly and shipped quickly.I saved a bunch of money by doing this myself versus having the dealer charge me a fortune.
