I normally go to a salon for a relaxer, but due to the pandemic, I had to find an alternative. For years I had used a straightening comb, but just couldn’t get over my fear of burning myself (instilled by my mother, who always nicked me with hot tools in my youth). I have to admit I was skeptical about how good straightening brush could be but after researching online articles and reviews, I decided to buy this GHD. WOW!!! The results are better than I expected! My kinky hair is almost completely straight; much better than the results I got with my old straightening comb because I can get the brush on my roots! No burned scalp, fingers or ears! There are less expensive brushes out there but I believe you get what you pay for. This is a very well-made product. Will this replace the salon? No. Will this replace my straightening comb? Absolutely! All you curly girls, if you’re in the same boat as me, I highly recommend this comb for easy straightening at home.

It took me a couple of tries to really master this but I much prefer it to a flat iron. It is pricey but I really like it. It has "bristles" that heat (and some that don't) so that you don't have to press your hair flat to apply heat and shaping. My hair comes out smooth but not flat. It has movement and body. And it's faster because you don't have to segment your hair into such tiny sections. I can restore my look very quickly.

I have baby fine 2B/3A hair cut to chin length and this brush works like magic on my hair. I usually blow dry with a round brush and get great results but I wasn't happy with that for 2 reasons: 1. I feel like doing that every time I wash my hair is too harsh and 2. I have to immediately dry my hair after washing in order to have it obey. With this brush, I air dry my hair and only use the brush if the curls don't look very good or if I decide I want a straight look. I never liked the look a flat iron gave me--it made my hair too flat, whereas this gives it a little bit of volume. It is so easy to use and so quick that I may never blow dry again!

Good for a taming, but doesn’t give that flat sleek look the way a flat iron does.

I have been using this hot brush for several months. I have very long, thick, frizzy/wavy hair and also have a GHD flat iron. I have been disappointed with this item. The design is poor: the handle is heavy and hard to grip, and the on/off button is right where you need to put your fingers to maintain grip. This annoys me every time I use it. It noticeably tames hair, though, but it takes longer than a flat iron and does not do as good of a job. You must brush each section of hair with a regular brush before you run the hot brush through it; otherwise, your hair will get caught and overheat.

I’m really impressed with this hair straightener. I have very long curly hair. I used to get my hair chemically straightened and honestly this does a better job! It was easy to get the hang of using it, I’m used to plain flat irons. Not once did it feel too hot or burn any part of my head! I love that it gives body to the hair. It falls so beautifully. Just wow!

Es muy práctico, la mitad de tiempo que me lleva hacerlo con una plancha. Además te deja brillante el cabello. Solo verifica que lo estes usando de la forma correcta. Debes ocupar un protector de calor, y usarlo no como un cepillo normal, pues al principio lo usé así y me decepcioné, pues lo estaba usando como si me peinara como de costumbre, y pensaba que no servía, pero era porque no lo estaba usando de la forma correcta, permite que la placa de calor toque el cabello de adentro hacia afuera. Las cerdas no te queman ni el cuero cabelludo, menos tus dedos o mano. Esta genial, estoy feliz por la compra y SÍ FUNCIONA, pues te deja un alaciado súper natural y no te maltrata las puntas como otros cepillos más baratos. Si deseas estilizar tu peinado con ondas solo usa la plancha o tenaza para hacerlo, pero si te ahorra mucho mucho tiempo. Si lo recomiendo, para personas con el cabello chino, ondulado, como yo lo tengo.

Llevo alrededor de 6 meses con este cepillo. Ha sido muy bueno, realmente ha disminuido el tiempo en el que me toma peinármelo comparado con una plancha. No te deja el cabello completamente liso pero sí se acerca. El detalle es que no sirve para marcar puntas al final del mechón como si se quisiese hacer un moldeado, pero, su tecnología es buena y me ha cuidado demasiado el cabello. Y lo uso frecuentemente a la semana.
