Ethical Bean Coffee Decaf, Dark Roast, Ground, 8-Ounce Bag

One of the better decafs that I have had. Price isn't very competitive, but I was able to catch it on sale. True to what it says - medium blend, well-bodied and smooth.

I ordered this because Whole Foods is constantly out of their decaf French Roast. I have tried other decafs here (No Jo, Marley's, The Bean) but have not liked them. This one has good flavor for a decaf and it's organic. Canadian company. Mexican beans. I would order again.

Not bad, not amazing.

This is really great coffee. Nice and robust but not bitter. If you want it to taste the very best, try using a burr grinder. I had been using a regular coffee blade grinder and when I used my new burr grinder, it tasted truly amazing. I had no idea it could make such a difference. The flavor is great but it is not low caffeine. I bought it as water process decaf which is supposed to be 99.9% caffeine free, so I could drink it in the afternoon or evening. Tried two cups made with a percolator, and 4 cups made with drip/pour through methods. All cups kept me away half the night. If you are not sensitive to caffeine and enjoy a mild but rich flavor, this is a good product. If you are sensitive to caffeine, try something else.

Only decaf water process I can find I like. I have reordered a few times already and plan to continue. I mix a heaping tablespoon of this and a little less tablespoon of regular medium roast to a pour over coffee every morning and it’s delicious.

bland. had to use 30% more to find a taste. 3 stars because it SMELLS like coffee. Insipid

I am extremely disappointed in this coffee. It has a "watery" flavor and an odd, unpleasant sweetness to it. Despite it being a "dark roast", it isn't rich at all and has a flat, one-dimensional flavor profile-other than the strange, distasteful sweetness.I would definitely not recommend this coffee to anyone. If you want a first-rate decaf coffee I heartily recommend the Don Pablo Water Process Columbian Medium-Dark Roast. It's only $15.99 for a 2-pound bag here on Amazon and has a very rich, deep flavor for a decaf. The only downside is that it's only available in whole-bean form, so you'll have to grind it yourself. But it's worth it, believe me.If you must have a ground decaf, I recommend San Francisco Bay Coffee Ground, Decaf Colombian Supremo. It's water processed, by the Swiss method, I believe. In addition, it's fair-trade, single estate coffee. The flavor is rich, smooth, and delicious. I mix it 1-to-1 with San Francisco Bay's regular ground Columbian Supremo and that blend is superb.The only issue is that these coffees are a bit expensive. The decaf is $12.99 for a 12-ounce bag here on Amazon and the regular is $11.99. But they're well worth it. I hope these recommendations were helpful. Happy sipping!

Great taste and easy to open packaging. Though the time honoured tradition of drinking dirt flavoured water has become very ritualistic in my life, I find the superior and almost supreme dirt flavour in this bag makes one think that they harvested straight off mount Olympus. Enjoy the powerful earthy ness of what must have taken many workers toiling in the hot sun while I decided on wether or not I’ll pour the dregs into my polished sink. It sings of the wonderful power of moving my breakfast from in to out of me. Please try this Blend!

My mom likes coffee and mentioned how she has to stop drinking it by a certain time of day, she didn't know you can get decaf that isn't instant coffee. She prefers dark roast and doesn't grind beans so this fit the bill.Originally I got her the Tim Hortons medium roast one, she was happy to have the decaf option but said she preferred her other coffee, so I got her this one because it's dark roast and she likes it.

I’ve always found when I drink a decaf coffee that you can just tell something’s missing. It TASTES like it’s incomplete. Part of the reason I like coffee is the pick me up of the caffeine. My wife likes decaf, and when she makes this I never hesitate to have some too. Delicious enough to drink black, and not too watery or bland like I find most decaf coffees are.

I really enjoy my coffee but now that I’m in my 40s, I find I can’t drink more than a couple of caffienated cuppas a day. So I was on the hunt for a good decaf when I got this one. And I’m impressed. It lets me drink my coffee all day and still sleep at night. Big win!

I bought this product because i wanted a good quality organic decafeinated instant coffee.. but i was surprised to see that this coffee does not dissolve in hot water !! apparently i have to boil it many times in order to taste it .. this is not what i wanted
