Great for parent with moderate dementia and palsy!

I didn't know what to expect of this book when I bought it for my dad. He has dementia and also his hands shake a lot, but I was hoping this book would be easy enough for him, without being childish. Following a storyline is very difficult for him so he doesn't really read or watch TV anymore, and I was hoping that this book would just give him something he could do. Well, my mom said that he is always working on these dot-to-dots! You don't know what the picture is going to be until you are done, and he often shows her what it turned out to be and sometimes asks her where the next number is if he can't see it. Although his hands shake a good bit, he is able to draw the short lines between the numbers without much problem, which really makes me happy. I'm definitely glad I purchased it.

great dot-to-dot for elementary-age kids

This is an excellent activity book! My 6-year-old loves dot-to-dot pictures and frequently asked me to print ones off the internet for him to do. I got tired of that because it was hard to find anything between easy and impossible, and who has time to search the internet for "just right" dot-to-dots? Most easy dot-to-dots for little kids are so simple that you can tell at a glance what it will be. These are much better, and just the right level of challenging for my son. They average about 100 dots in each, and most of them are complicated enough that you really can't tell what it will be until after working on it for a while. It takes my son 15-30 minutes to do these. He is delighted with each one, and I have been surprised by the educational value. He is doing much better in recognizing numbers up to a hundred, for example; before this, he would confuse numbers like 35 and 53. We have a quiet rest time every afternoon, and this is what he asks to do most frequently during that time. Also, the quality is nice (not the super-cheap paper like you might get in a grocery store coloring book) and would be a nice component in a kid's birthday present, Easter basket, that kind of thing. I would definitely recommend this book.

Very Mediocre printing quality

But a perfect challenge for a 7 year old who is detail oriented and does not get overwhelmed with challenges. My niece does love it.Knowing more I am disappointed by the printing quality. It’s exactly as the other reviewers have pictured. Just lots of poorly printed numbers on a page without anything else.At the very least they could have used “types” numbers and could have added a color-background. But with big companies like this they get away with what thy can. I just wish I had taken the other reviewers pictures more seriously. I had thought, “It can’t really be that bad!”Plus the numbers are really light so they’re hard to read

Not good

This book is not great. The pictures are simple and will appeal to young kids (5-6) for a short while. However, most of the puzzles require you to stop at one number and restart at the next (ie "connect 1-97, then 98-102"). That's not age-appropriate for the pictures. I recommend the Greatest Dot-to-Dot instead, which is great at any age.

Helps dementia patient to keep mentally engaged!

My mother is in early stages of dementia and I have been trying to find various activities such as word searches, puzzles, connect the dots, etc. to help in keeping her mentally engaged. This book has been ideal for her as it is not too easy but is not too intricate and complicated for her. She really likes it and has done most of the pictures...guess I better find her another book!

Pretty basic

I thought this would be a good book for an aunt in a nursing home since she enjoys coloring. It was very basic and not really pictures you could color.

Great.

Great book - got it for my 4 year old. Nice that is has numbers and letters as the dots, so helps with counting and literacy skills at the same time. Delivered promptly. Puzzles not too difficult either, so perfect for this age.

I enjoy doing this when bored and don't feel like doing my other projects. I also bought one for an orderly friend that is staying in a resident it keeps her mind occupied.

Lots of fun

I buy these for my mother. She absolutely loves them! Does them one a day, like vitamins. What more can I say?
