Manfrotto MB MA-BP-A1 Advanced Active Backpack I (Black)

Before buying this backpack I was used to carrying a regular backpack along with a sling type of case that has 2 dividers inside and some pockets. The Manfrotto backpack combines these two in a more logical manner, instead of carrying two things together separately, you can have it all in one backpack that has easy to access your camera and more.If it gives you an idea of who is using this backpack, I am a 20 year old halfway through college as of now. The Sony a6000 is my main camera, with my Sony Nex 5n as a backup sometimes. I have 5 E-mount lenses and one lens converter and this backpack can carry them all. In the small outer pocket, I put things like my ID cards or keys. In the middle compartment, I carry extra batteries, Zeiss lens wipes, a lenspen, and sometimes cash or other important things inside the additional internal zipper compartment inside for additional security. In the main compartment closest to my back, I often carry snacks, lotion/sunscreen, phone cables, clothes (tank tops, t shirts, or a jacket), and in the laptop compartment I either keep my iPad or Chromebook inside if needed. I could carry my compact Manfrotto tripod on the side of the bag, but in most scenarios I have never needed to carry a tripod like that (it makes the bag a lot lighter too). The rain-cover is a nice addition, but I have yet to travel to a place where it rains often. If one desires, you can remove the camera divider section of the backpack by the Velcro attachment and use it as a regular backpack. The backpack is completely flat on the bottom, so you can sit the bag on any flat surface if you want to do a lens swap, for example. The backpack is pretty light, but of course, how heavy it is really depends on how much you pack into the bag.This backpack, although no larger than most other backpacks, is well laid out and can carry a lot of items. It is one of the most useful backpacks when I travel because not only do I have dedicated space for my camera and personal belongings, but it is well-constructed, sturdy, comfortable to wear (easy on the shoulders), and also looks nice. This is a backpack that doesn't seem to scream "I am a camera bag" and can carry more than just your camera. It looks casual, but clearly it is designed to look nice rather than generic.I like traveling light, so my choice of camera, lenses, internals fits this bag very well. If anyone needs more space, then you probably need a larger bag to accommodate your belongings. For me, this is the perfect size for my gear and lifestyle. I don't need less and I don't need more. It's just right and I can spend more time enjoying where I am rather than worrying about bringing along lot of gear. It's perfect for when I travel to busy places like Los Angeles or San Francisco, and even to out of the way places like Yosemite and other lands. Manfrotto definitely has made a quality camera bag.

This is the best camera bag I ever had or tried. I use it every day to carry a 13" laptop, with power chord, big head phones, a cell phone, cables, pen and paper, and a DSLR with several lenses. I is the best looking bag I have, and the quality of the materials used and the sewings is top notch.The camera compartment is bigger than I expected. I can easily fit my Nikon D7000 DSLR with a 35mm lens, and 4 normal sized lenses. Check the dimensions of the camera compartment to be sure that your lenses and camera fits though.You wont be able to fit a whole lot into the non-camera pockets, but they are not too small either. The rain cover is not built in like in LowePro bags and you have put it in on of the two big pockets. No big deal, but the LowePro approach is so much nicer.The two sidepockets are fabous. You can attach a tripod to the right side of the bag, the bag was clearly designed to fit and match the Manfrotto BeFree tripod, but any tripod of the same size will fit perfectly. The rain cover is also big enough to cover the tripod as well.The laptop compartment protects the laptop and separates it completely from the rest of the bag. You wont be able to see the laptop before you pull it out and you wont feel it when carrying the backpack. The backpack is also a joy to carry around, very light and it does have a chest strap.Highly recommended, functional, stylish backpack of high quality. It you wear stylish and expensive clothes (at work fx) this bag will probably look great on you. That is also why I chose this bag. I use it at work every day.

This is exactly what I have been looking for. I am pretty picky when it comes to my camera bag. If it's not practical or sturdy, there's a problem. Before ordering this bag, I had been using a Kata backpack for about 4 years. It was great, but over time my needs have changed. I replaced my bulky Nikon with a Sony a7 series camera and went from using a very large laptop, down to a 13 inch laptop. I didn't need the huge bag anymore for my every day work. What I really love about this bag is that I can still fit a laptop, tablet, camera, external hard drive, a few different lenses, flash and all of my other little things in it…and it's a backpack! Just sling over my shoulder and go! The only problem I have had so far (I believe it will correct over time), is the backpack likes to slide off my shoulder if I'm only using it slinged over one shoulder. I think that it's because it's so new and a bit stiff. Not a deal breaker! I've only had it about a month. I'm very happy with this bag.

I've had it for over a year now, and the only complaint is that when you overload the net pocket inside it tears a little. Really this backpack is a trooper, and so very nimble. The weight is distributed well, and it's been through the wringer for air travel and just "throw it in the car." Don't overload the little inside pocket like I did, and you'll be all set. It's an excellent bag.

Wow! Before receiving this bag I attempted to cancel the order because the seller of the previous bag I purchased which was falling apart notified me that they were sending me a replacement bag at no cost. Fortunately this bag had already shipped! Initially I didn't have time to mess with it so I tossed this bag in the closet and was going to return it. Once I got it out and started checking it out! Wow what a step up from the previous bag I was carrying!The zippers are high quality and the Zipper tabs seem to be a good metal, the outer casing is dense and appears rugged further this bag is really roomy, the other bag I was carrying was barely large enough to hold my 16" Dell Latitude, and the pockets are really nice. Quality and size! No lie you get what you pay for especially with this bag. 8 months ago i wouldn't have even looked at this bag.

I was confused about the size of the bag with context to it's price. But, I was amazed when I actually received the bag. It is quite more spacious than expected. No doubts in quality. It has special section for laptop aswell. It also has two tripod pockets, and mini zippers inside the bag to store your pendrives, card readers, etc. It also comes with water proofing bag jacket.This is perfect to fit in my needs. I recommend this for those who wants to carry, one camera with two lenses, panoheads & other accessories. Please check images for actual visualisation.

Pensé que estaría muuuy grande para mi (1.5m) pero me quedo perfecta. Es cómoda y es perfecta para viajes. Caben bastantes cosas a parte de la cámara y lentes. Muy bien protegida la cámara sin preocuparse de que se vaya a maltratar o golpear.No me arrepiento de mi compra, recomiendo hacer la inversión, vale la pena.

Just an awesome tech bag. Sometimes used as my backpack so i say its super convertible. Even though they provided rain cover, the bag is water resistant keeping things safe. The bag can take quit an impact and everything stays extremely safe. And you get lots of storage space for all your things and those backs and shoulder slings are extremely well padded!

Its one of the elegant piece , i just love it ... i got nikon d850 with kit lens & sigma 85mm n 35mm all got properly fit into pockets, built quality excellent , stich and comfort i would give 10 stars , if i could. Over all its worth of every penny we spend ... perfect all rounder compact stylish , professional look aswell
