As other have mentioned runs little small, so went big on size.Wonderfully brightLight weight and seemingly very breathable hat. First outing with it tomorrow. So far really like it!.

It was just what I was looking for. The fit is great, well made, and the the ties are secure to keep it on in the wind. I’m very pleased.

I find few hats fit me so I was excited to see a 2xl/3xl option. It barely fits. Time will tell if it loosens up.

The Triple-X size I ordered, fits my head perfectly. And it keeps the sunlight out of my eyes when I'm at work.I ordered another just for backup.

I am a sailor who likes to sail long distances (e.g. 1200nm+) offshore in the ocean. I bought this "ranger" or "boony" hat to protect my face and ears and neck from sunburn. I have an extra large head (24.5" circ), and sometimes even "Extra Large" hats will not fit me well (or are too tight). This hat comes in XXL and I bought that size. I am very glad that this seller/brand (Ergodyne) has made this XXL hat (as few hats are made that size). I hope Ergodyne will continue to produce hats this large, as I think that is a competitive advantage as other sellers do not. I compared this hat to many others that look similar, and this one came in the needed XXL size. Others don't. I am very happy to say it fits very nicely, without any tightness. In fact, I like it so much I am going to order another one to have in case I lose this one. If I had a regular crew working for me, I would buy each person one of these. The high visibility yellow/lime color is very bright and is also good for sailors. The hat has two different reflective materials that really do work very well. The wide reflective band or ribbon on the hat crown is very good retroreflective material. In addition the hat has a narrow reflective trim that goes around the outside of the brim. Together these are very good at reflecting lights such as headlights of cars or spotlights or flashlights. This does provide a good sense of added safety visibility at night. The fabric used is lightweight, and the hat has a vented crown. I have worn this hat for many days in the hot sun and never felt "hot" under the hat. The hat comes with a very nice and long "stampede strap" or "wind strap" or "cord keeper" with a sliding adjustment button that works well. When sailing, I snug this down and can face the wind without fear of the hat blowing off my head. The brim is wide enough to provide good protection fo my ears and nose and face when under high sun. It also provides some sun protection for my neck. The hat material is light weight, so this hat can be easily rolled up or folded up and stuck in a pocket when not needed. But, because it is light weight, it is hardly noticeable when worn. I highly recommend this hat as a very good value, with outstanding features and functionality for sun protection and high visibility. By the way, I have not received any compensation or discount for writing this review. I simply like this hat very much, and consider it an excellent product, with outstanding value if you need sun protection and a larger size had for wear outdoors. If you are a sailor, hiker, walker, yard worker, field worker, farmer, or anyone who works outside and wants better all around (wide brim) sun protection in a light weight hat that is comfortable and easy to wear, this is a good solution.

It is definitely a very bright yellow reflective hat. I would say it runs small and didn't fit very comfortably. It seems like it is made ok, even if it is a bit flimsy/light.

Good protection from the sun, & from cars at crosswalks on my walks on city streets, to go get beer.Good air circulation due to mesh on hat !Perhaps people will think I make as much as those Union road construction workers !

By golly if you wear this hat people the next town over will be able to see you. I bought it to wear at work, and it definitely fulfilled the hi vis requirement. Being polyester the sweatband does get pretty sweaty and gross, but for less than 20 dollars I can't complain.
