It will depend on how much weight you are wanting to bring on your trip! **Q: The poles stick out 2 inches. I have measured the fabric and it is 185cm, under 73 inches long. What should i do? Video doesnt help with this** A: When held up beside the fabric the poles are longer, however they need to be to give the fabric the rigidity it needs to provide you with enough support. The fabric has a tab at the open end which you use to pull it tight as you force the pole up into the pocket. It will stretch sufficiently to pop it in, though admittedly it is a tight fit, and those without a strong grip will struggle. I have used my bed half a dozen times now and still struggle, despite having strong hands, but that's the way it is designed. Not ideal, but persevere and hopefully you will find the technique. Good luck. **Q: Gave been sent dufferent as pictured. Do you have the one advertised as it is wider and constructed different??** A: I was sent one as shown and advertised. **Q: Where can i buy rubber non slip wedges to level the bed when camping on a slope?** A: Hello Cathy as a fellow owner of this marvellous cot may I suggest home made wooden wedges slipped inside an old bicycle inner tube. Rubber wedges would be better but I have never seen them. Good luck either way and regards from Ireland. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A bit of comfort on the road *by M***A on 19 December 2025* We use the FE Active Folding Camping Bed for motorcycle camping and it has been brilliant. It is lightweight, folds up easily, and adds a bit of much-needed comfort after a long day riding. Sturdy and easy to set up, it makes camping on the road much more enjoyable. A simple, practical addition for anyone who wants a more comfortable night while travelling. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Camp Bed *by A***R on 4 December 2025* Fantastic camp bed that is comfortable but rigid enough. Good for camping as it keeps you off the ground. I use it while motorbike camping as small enough for strapping to bike. Quick to build and dismantle. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sturdy and comfortable *by N***M on 12 September 2021* I have now used this bed twice, once for a duration of three nights and the other for two, and I am very happy with it. The legs were a little difficult to attach to the frame at first, but if you follow the technique used in the video you shouldn't have a problem. Yes, they are stiff to snap to the frame, but if you turn the bed on its side, snap the leg to the lower frame first then use your bodyweight to press down from above and snap the top part in last it makes their insertion easy, and that stiffness is good as it is what gives the fabric the rigidity it needs. The poles are more than strong enough to cope with this so don't be too gentle. I am 5' 7" tall and weigh 87kg. At all times I found it plenty strong enough and stable for my needs, even when sitting on the edge in the morning. At no time did the bed move or tip. Comfort is fine though I did lay a wool blanket over the bed, as my shoulders are quite wide, so this gave me plenty of comfort from the edge of the frame. Packing down is quick and easy, and all fits back in the same bag without any issue if you take your time, roll the main poles up with the fabric, insert that first then pack a couple of the legs with the feet inserted down and then the others with them up. The small pack down size and weight are perfect for easy carriage. For the price this is a quality bed and I can thoroughly recommend. UPDATE August 2024 Having used this bed each summer for approximately 2 weeks a year I have been very impressed with its comfort and durability, however on my last trip one of the black leg supports split, causing the pole that links the legs to pop out whenever I lie on the bed. I contacted FE Active via email 3 weeks ago to see if it is possible to purchase a replacement support but have yet to receive a reply, which is a shame. As a result I have reduced my rating from 5 to 4 stars as I only weigh 85kg and had hoped it would last more than a few years of fairly limited use. ## Frequently Bought Together - FE Active Folding Camping Cot - Lightweight, Compact & Portable Camping Bed, Comfortable Sleeping Cots for Adults & Kids - Camp Cot Fits Single Air Mattress Pad|Designed in California, USA - Clostnature Tent Footprint - Waterproof Camping Tarp, Heavy Duty Tent Floor Saver, Ultralight Ground Sheet Mat for Hiking, Backpacking, Hammock, Beach - Storage Bag Included - Hikenture Camping Pillow with Removable Cover - Ultralight Inflatable Pillow for Neck Lumbar Support - Upgrade Backpacking Pillow - Washable Travel Air Pillows for Camping, Hiking, Backpacking --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://bermuda.desertcart.com/products/140432092-camp-cot](https://bermuda.desertcart.com/products/140432092-camp-cot) --- *Product available on Desertcart Bermuda* *Store origin: BM* *Last updated: 2026-10-24*
