Easy to replace and good as new
Faucet was leaking around the base. It appeared to have been original to the home so was about 20 years old. Took it apart and found the valve was loose in the housing and was leaking. This valve was a direct replacement and was very easy to install. Works like new and saved me a lot of money and effort over having to replace the faucet.

Working fine
Replacing this valve is fairly simple and instruction videos can be found online. If you need this valve you probably also need the O-ring kit, sold separately.

Kohler GP1016515 Valve - Perfect for Kohler K-10412 Single Control Faucet
This valve kit was exactly what we needed to stop a leak in our 2.5 year old Kohler K-10412 Single Control Faucet (Brushed Nickel finish). The leak started about a week ago and got progressively worse each day, virtually turning into a river two days ago. The parts were delivered yesterday and, with our 14 year old son's help, we fixed the leak this morning. The job took about 20 minutes total (think we could do it in 10 next time though...), and we also replaced the o-rings and slide bearings ( Kohler GP30420 O-Ring Seal Kit for Kitchen Faucets with Bearings, O-Rings and Lube ) and the friction ring ( KOHLER 1005201 Washer Friction ) in the process. Here is what we did to replace the valve; if looking for the steps to replace all parts mentioned above, please follow the link to the o-ring kit and read the more expansive worklist:* Turned off the water running to the sink* Put stoppers in the drains on both sides of the sink, just to make sure nothing accidentally went down the drain...* Used a small flat-head screwdriver to remove the plug from the back of the handle, providing access the handle's set screw* Used a small hex (Allen) wrench to loosen the set screw, and then lifted the handle off* Unscrewed (by hand) the covering over the valve (took a bit of 'uumph' to get started, but easy thereafter)* Used a pipe wrench to loosen the mounting nut holding the valve in place, then finished loosening and removing by hand* Removed the old valve; the gaskets from the bottom of the valve were stuck inside the faucet, so we had to clean that out* The valve stem sits in a plastic bracket mounted in the handle; we replaced the old bracket with one that came with the valve* Used soap & the Scotch-Brite material to clean the inside of the handle and faucet* Put the new valve unit in place, lining up the posts on the valve to holes inside the faucet for a perfect fit* Cleaned and replaced the mounting nut; hand tightened, then used the pipe wrench for the final quarter-turn* Cleaned and then screwed on (by hand) the covering over the valve until finger tight* Placed the handle back on top of the valve, lining up the valve stem with the new plastic bracket we installed* Put the set screw back in place, and hand tightened with the hex (Allen) wrench until just snug* Replaced the plug covering access to the set screw* Took the drain stoppers out* Turned the water back on... looked for leaks... turned the faucet on and tested the hot & cold water flow... moved the spout aroundNo leaks. Like new. Excellent. Was a lot nicer to spend $20 instead of $200 for a new unit.If you have the same sort of issue and have confirmed that these parts are right for your unit, we recommend them very highly.Go for it.

Fit perfectly and works like it should.
Perfect fit, easy repair, and works like it should Also bought the o rings and seals but my faucet did not require them so I returned them.

Easy to install
The part was exactly what I needed, but make sure to get the o-ring replacement package. The valve change alone would not have stopped my leak.

KOHLER GENUINE PART GP1016515 KITCHEN FAUCET
I recommend use only genuine parts for your Faucet. When my faucet started to leak, I already had one extra Valve that I bought 2 years ago, so this I I bought for the next leak as immediate replacement.

OEM Replacement on 14 year old Kohler Kitchen Faucet
Fixed the leak. Faucet is like new again. Highly recommend. If you call them Kohler will replace the parts for free. Or if out of production replace the faucet. I found this out AFTER, I repaired mine. So just a heads up.

Easy, cheap faucet fix
This part fixed a frozen handle on my Kohler single spot faucet. I was convinced I needed a new faucet but when I went on YouTube to see how to install a faucet I came a cross someone showing how to replace valve so I gave it a shot. Hardest part getting cap off that protects valve. Many years of no maintenance had it all gunked up. Once that was off I popped out old frozen valve, replaced o-rings, lubed and popped in the new valve. Works like new and only cost me $18 to fix!!

It’s perfect.
The tap was leaking and it turned out to be the internal cartridge needed replacing.
