This folding power wheelchair exceeded my expectations.
I bought the Porto Mobility Ranger DO9S XL folding power wheelchair because I needed something more that my 3 wheel mobility scooter. When the chair arrived it was extremely well packed and was very easy to unfold and set up. The chair was exactly as described with very easy to follow instructions. I was a little concerned about using a “joystick “, I have never used one before. What I found was, it was easy to use and gave me more control over the steering. I had been using a tiller on my other mobility scooters. The “joystick” is very sensitive and with a little practice it is very easy to get used to. The ability make a 360* turn is a very tight area was a a pleasant surprise. One of the main reasons I purchased this particular folding power wheelchair was security. I am a 72 year old post polio male. My height is 5’ 7” and I weigh 230 lbs. I am still very active and I needed a folding wheelchair that my wife and I could load into our GMC Terrain or our Honda Odyssey with ease. It folds up easily and is not too heavy to lift. This folding wheelchair is very stable on gravel, dirt, grass, lawn and of course sidewalks. This folding power wheelchair is extremely comfortable, very well made, and handles well. It has a long range and has surpassed all my expectations. I would recommend the Porto Mobility Ranger DO9S XL to anyone who wants a well made quality folding power wheelchair.

Hello Independence! Bring on the travel!
I bought this chair for my husband who is a very tall, big guy in recovery from a cerebral hemorrhage that left him with serious left-sided hemi-paralyses. This chair was not meant to replace his regular power chair which has better maneuverability and a tighter turning radius for indoor use. But his regular chair is very heavy and requires a lift to take it with us. The Ranger is very sporty looking and light-weight relative to most power chairs. It supports his weight (250lbs) and large 6'4" frame well. We bought this chair to travel with. It is light and folds easily. I am able to load it in the back of my car easily and we can go. The best part of the chair is that my husband can, with a small boom in the back of his pick up, load the chair by himself and run to the hardware store or wherever he wants. The downside of the chair is it is less maneuverable than a standard powerchair. The brakes don't respond well with his weight on a long steep hill so you would want to watch that. Overall, it's a great chair and it is light enough that most people can fold it and pivot it up into their vehicle. It's not super light but manageable. We would buy this again. It gets used almost daily and a must for travel.

Excellent Electric Wheelchair!
First of all, the chair arrived on time and in excellent condition. For the past 1.5 weeks, I put this chair through its paces and claimed range. I am of average height and 225 lbs. Also, I have multiple sclerosis and a back injury. This chair is the weight as listed. For personal use, I wear a back brace belt to lift in and out of the cargo area. To help you and a caretaker, remove the batteries (10lbs.) and the controller before loading and unloading. I put them in a canvas bag off to the side. This helps you and reduces the chance of damaging the controller. Now, I used this chair in big box warehouse style stores and around town. Living in a hilly area, I worked on draining the battery with use. As of three days ago, I finally had to charge the batteries. Also, the turning radius is tight approximately 31” which is excellent. It navigates narrow aisles with ease and runs quietly. Also, I used this chair on my lawn and it worked well. However, like any powered chair, car, etc. it will lose traction on wet grass on a grade. The motors are strong and the brakes work well. Considering speed, it is faster than my 18 yo sons normal walking gate at two bars of power. Turn it all the way up to full power, and you’re off to the races. Remember that medicare/medicaid nor the VA will purchase this for you. It’s out of pocket. Remember to check your expenditure against your earnings when filing taxes. You may qualify for a durable goods medical deduction. I’m enjoying this chair!

Ranger Maestro XL
Our first wheel chair purchase for my husband who is 250# and 6’5”. We have gone to the mall and the movie theater again after many years of limited access do to my husband’s increased physical limitations. It’s given back to him the freedom to enjoy once again the places and activities we’ve had to give up. The chair’s weight is a hefty 60lbs to lift into the back of our vehicle, and tens to want to unfold while lifting. But we added a strong velcro like strap that prevents this. We encountered a low curb that was supposed to be handicap accessible, that gave the chairs front wheels a challenge, almost tipping the chair. A learning curve for us to take these carefully and head on, or possibly backing over this type of bump to avoid tipping. Otherwise, the chair is a blessing and we are happy to have it. Definitely recommend it.

Great wheelchair! - Sturdy, Fast, Lightweight
This wheelchair has been my trusty companion for over a year now - and I still love it just as much as the first day I bought it! I have POTS, so the recline feature is very important for managing my symptoms, but a lot of wheelchairs that recline add a ton of weight to the design - I like this one in particular because it reclines, is comfortable, but isn't bulky and even folds and fits into the back of my sedan! LOVE this chair and the freedom is brings!

Stopped working in 5 months
Delivered March 10, stopped working by Aug. nice mobility solution while it worked: light and powerful. Will see how company responds to faulty product and revise rating if positive. Update: it’s been a lemon. Constantly breaking down within 5 months of use.

Not recommend
It broken after using 3 days. So I returned the order and it cost 271 dollars for shipping and another 15% of the 2899 price for inventory. Sigh.
