Russian style eggplant spread
This is one of those things you order that, who knows what it is? I mean, I've never heard of Zergut before. Anyway, I like it. It's nice and thick and tastes good. It's made mostly of eggplant, pepper, sunflower oil, and tomato paste, with the consistency of thick, chunky salsa. It's not hot at all. I'm spreading it on a heavy, seeded German bread that needs more flavor.There's a safety button on top that is supposed to pop up when you open the jar. I forgot to look, so i'm not sure if mine popped up or didn't. Anyway, it tastes fine and hasn't made me sick. I will be buying it again.4.27.23 Update. I didn't like it as much as I thought I did.

Containments of one jar is leaking
The containments of one jar is leaking . I ask replace 1 jar or return money for 1 jar .

The lid was open, and the spread leaked into the package.
It was sent to me in an already open jar! The center of the lid was popped up. The spread leaked into the package. Of course, I can't eat it. Thank you for "this".

Moldy and gross!
Opened up the package and there was mold all over it! There are no returns for this item but I would like my money back! Absolutely can’t eat it.
