It’s worth it
Tastes awful but it is definitely effective! How long it lasts depends on you, if you are eating and drinking then it washes it away and won’t last as long as if you don’t. I tried tons of other stuff and never got any relief at all, this was the only topical numbing product that worked for me!!

The first time I use this product I borrowed it from my friend.
The first time I use this product I borrowed it from my friend.I was so happy with it that I bought five bottles I used one bottle and I have the others on hand for when I need them because when you need something like that you need it right away. Works really fast much better than other products that say they do the same thing but do not. Very happy with this product.

Haven't needed this myself yet (I bought it for backpacking). But I have had a couple of family members with real bad toothaches try it and they said that it worked extremely well. Deadened the pain very well and lasted a long time. Now I trust it in my backpack. Well worth the price if your hurting.

Expiration date missing!
I was disappointed to see that the product didn’t have an expiration date stamped on it. That’s a basic safety and quality standard. Without it, there’s no way to tell if the product is fresh or safe to use. It makes me question the manufacturer’s quality control.

Works 100%.
Works well. It's 100% clove oil. Smells like cloves and tastes like cloves. Will numb a toothache for about 2 hours. Then you have to reapply. Eliminates the pain so you can sleep. Google "clove oil" and you'll see all kinds of medicinal benefits. The kits come with little, tiny white cottonballs (about the size of a pea). Perfect for precise placement on the problematic tooth. Would buy again.

Works but not for long.
One of my teeth broke and it will be a while before I can see a dentist (yes, I know the risks.) In the mean time I'm trying everything to numb the pain. The Red Cross medication with Benzocaine doesn't taste as bad as the Eugenol formula. I do think that the Benzocaine formula numbed it more and longer than the Eugenol formula. What makes this awesome is the small cotton balls and tweezers. The cotton balls soak up the liquid and the tweezers make it easy to apply where it needs to go. Since I'm reviewing the Eugenol formula, I'm going to say pass. Just buy some clove oil! Believe it or not the clove oil tastes better than the Eugenol liquid. The numbness lasted just as long with the clove oil as with the Eugenol. The price comes out cheaper too. You won't have the nifty tiny cotton balls but just cut pieces from a big one and you're there. Both burn slightly, maybe more if you are super sensitive. Save money, go with clove or find the Benzocaine formula. I know this works for some people but not for me.
