Dr. Seuss's Happy Birthday, Baby! (Dr. Seuss Nursery Collection)

I bought this as a sign in book for our son's first birthday party...but it's so small (probably 6x6 inches or so) that there's no way I'll use it that way. That's obviously my fault for not checking the dimensions...not the book's fault, but it was a disappointment nonetheless.There are ten "pages", including the front and back cover. (This is a short book!) The first page has the cute birthday bird with a furry spot cut out on his shirt. Second page has a lift up flap, Third to fourth page has a moveable component...which is hard to move initially, and after you've read the book many times, it moves much more freely. Fifth page has a "sniff" component and shiny metallic "leaves". The sixth page/seventh page has a scrolling feature. Eighth page has again a moveable feature, pull tab style. Last two pages are cute and without any of the shenanigans the other pages feature..which is a little bit of a letdown.It is a very cute birthday baby book though, and has a nice hard cover, good sturdy pages and spine. Has been enjoyed but I will likely put it away so it can be a 'memory item' for him for later on in life. Vivid fun illustrations and overall a fun, nice book.

I have loved Dr Suess books all my life. I bought this for my one year olds birthday. Now at 15 months, this has become his daily before nap choice and one of his favorite books. It has flip ups and pull outs (my son can’t do these at this age, it’s for the parents to do but the flip ups my son can) and I just love everything about this book. Would make a great present. Beautiful metallic colors my son loves. As you can see in photo #4 there was a little thing that went up and down those tracks cause my son tore my that piece off. It’s only several pages but it’s awesome, totally worth the $10

Super cute birthday book for a baby!

Ordered this for my two year old grands birthday with all the other stuff I got him . He loves books just like his dad did. I havnt read it my self but my son says it's a great book and his son just loves it . He wants to read again and again. DR Seuss books are great for children. I started all three of my kids off on them . I ordered while I was pregnant the first time they came with six and then every month you recieve ed two moreover. I did this with other books as well like the little golden boops. Peter rabbit, Winnie the pooh the Berenstain bears... but dr Seuss was always the favorites. All my children read early first b on was reading whole books before his third birthday. As well as doing simple math problems. My second was dyslexic and we had no idea but she was reading before she turned 4 and my youngest was 3 and a half before he actually read but was so far ahead of the other children at his day care/ at 18 months that he was put in with the three yr olds. I believe that my reading to them from the minute I found out I was pregnant and continuing to read to them until 3 grade every night had much to do with how smart they all became. And reading dr Seuss from the moment of pregnancy with all their rhymes was the biggest push of all. If you have a toddler to buy a gift for I suggest a set of dr Seuss along with the birthday book of course. I hope this has been helpful.

Bought this book for a baby shower gift, it was so cute and I love the interactive pages. Can easily be ripped if baby is too young but overall great purchase for me

I got this for my son's first birthday party as a “guest book” for people to sign and write in. It’s a super cute book. The only thing that I wish was better was some of the movable things. They’re a little tough to do so my son can’t do them himself. There’s also one that wasn’t made that great and came out and we can’t get it to go back in. Overall it’s a cute book and served the purpose we needed it for.

I give it a 5 stars bc my son loves to read this book, but needs to improve it’s quality, my son was able to put off a part of the book that was not glued correctly

I love dr. Suess books! But this one is very different, it has lots of interesting things on each page. (things that you can move, smell, feel, different textures) awesome for kids and a great book for a first birthday! So glad I got this. Would make a great gift aswell.

Such an old book I received.. Returned it...Content was also not as suited for a one year

I bought a bunch of Dr Seuss's toddler books for my son, as I loved Dr Seuss when I was younger.This was the absolute best though.The other books were a bit too basic - Just a couple of words on each page, and you don't really feel like your reading anything.It is still very basic, not close to the normal Dr Seuss books, but just enough not to feel ridiculous talking out 3 word rhymes per page like the others I got.Also my son loved all the interactive elements to the book. each page has something different, and interesting enough for him to want to play with it each time.It's supposed to be a birthday book, but we spent a time reading it every day, because he loved it.I would say the other available books are more suited to actually learn basic reading, not so much for entertainment.So if your looking for just a fun interactive book, with some silly rhymes I would go for this one.Hope it was helpful!
