I purchased these boots for my Star Wars Imperial Officer cosplay. I have a smallish mens foot (my athletic shoe size is 9US and my dress shoe size is 8.5US) and I purchased the "Small 8/9" size of these boots. They fit perfectly much to my surprise. They are decent boots and get the job done at a price that won't break your wallet. If you want screen accurate English riding boots for a Star Wars Imperial Officer you're looking at $200 or so. These are a nice alternative. As for 501st approval I have read conflicting information and it really depends on your local Garrison so get in touch with them. For my purposes, these boots were fantastic! They look good and feel comfortable. No idea yet on durability though for trooping.

Depending on the manufacturer, I usually wear somewhere between a mens 9.5 wide and a normal 10.5. I figured with my wider foot, a medium (10-11) would be OK. I was way off. There were at least 2 or more inches in front of my toe and even some space on the sides. It was HUGE. No worries though. They accepted my return and a small was here 3 days later. The small is for 8-9, which is definitely too small for me normally, but it's almost perfect on this boot. The length is just right and the width is good with only some VERY slight pinching in the toes, not enough to cause discomfort (I guess we'll see after wearing them for a full day.) The calf portion is proportionately smaller as well, but fits me just fine, though it might be tight if you have very large calves. The only complaint is that they dont breathe at all, and after only a couple of minutes, my feet and legs were sweating. Make sure you've got full length absorbent socks for these boots, they will be hot.

I wear a size 8 shoe so I bought the Small (Size 8-9) size. The boot was very good quality, but the sizing felt more like a 9 and was too big for my feet. Aside from the shoe being a bit too big for my feet, everything was great - they were clean, high quality, appealing look.

The "fits as expected" rating wasn't quite true for the two different pairs I bought (8-9, 9-10), but these boots were AWESOME. They are well made and stood up to high-temperature glue gun. I used these to attached some of my constructed shin guards as Halloween costume. Afterwards, I ripped them off with no damage to the boots. I normally wear 10-10.5, ordered the 9-10 and they were quite large on me. My partner wears 8.5 and ordered 8-9 and they were large on him. His fit me perfectly. So, in our cases the boots ran rather large for both sets. Definitely a good buy. They stood up to a full night of dancing, too.

I typically wear an 8-1/2 or 9 and ordered the small boots. They are just a tad large in the foot area but offer a just-right snug fit at the top in the calf area. The soles are thick and soft rubber and appear to offer a good amount of grip. The zipper on the inside of the calf allows for easy insertion and extraction. Overall, these are pretty nice boots for cosplay use. They won't be suitable for everyday use, nor are they designed for that. But they look and feel very good for costume boots.

So far so good. I bought these to go with the Star Wars costumes I ordered. They are a little bit big in the foot area. But I so far do not have any discomfort. And the pants I wear for my costumes have to go inside the boot and it's not causing any issues so far. So we'll see what the future holds. But so far they look great they fit my costumes and it was just a very good buy.

I purchased these boots this year for my Santa Gigs here in Hong Kong. They were far too big but then again I have small feet, but after wearing them once the surface of the faux leather was scuffing easily and scraping off revealing a white underneath. The surface also started to flake off the spine of the boots. Very poor quality and doubtful they will survive for another season. I will be looking for a better product. A much better product.

The only problem with these boots is tbat the calf part is wayyy too small for me I have rather large calves and it pinched just a tad and I’m not wearing any socks or anything!!! That’s why I took a star off ! But other than that the initial response impression is that they look good haven’t worn them at all yet besides a try in so I’ll do an update once they are worn!! (Update) so it’s been a while and I’ve not worn the boots out or for long periods of time and the zipper has completely broken from just me trying them on I do not recommend invest in better boots these are garbage and horribly made. My calves aren’t that big and they were VERY tight which is why the zipper broke and I’m very disappointed as the return window for me is closed because they broke after it closed I’m immensely angry at this and will NEVER be buying again

Like it, good quality and relatively solid. Using them as part of a costume so they won't get too much a pounding, but I can't see any problems with that. Just a little tight around my calfs but that's probably my build getting in the way
