I bought this for our grandkids when they visit. I guess I didn’t read the description very well because I was surprised- pleasantly so- to find the object of the game not the traditional idea of matching pictures. Instead the real life photo of the animal is accurately named and designed to be matched with a corresponding figurine. The kids love it; they’re 2 and 3 years old! We started playing with just a few at a time to learn their names. As they’ve become familiar with the animals, they enjoy simply playing with the figurines now. Note: the animals are rather small, 2” give or take. They worked well for our purposes.

My son is 2 years old and obsessed with animals and puzzles. This is his favorite game to play! It’s able to match up the animals himself and we review the animals together. Our speech therapist said it’s fantastic they have the name of the animal written on the cards to help him associate the word with its written form. It’s an early way to teach them to read. This is one of his favorite games!

Bought this for my TK classroom. The kids absolutely love them. Easy to throw in a little basket and give them independent time to match. Pretty good quality and the cards are nice and thick.

Got these for my 3 year old since I’m planning on homeschooling and wanted to start doing more “sit down” activities. He absolutely loves doing these! It’s great quality. The cards are sturdy. The insects look great. It opens up the door to talk / teach more about each insect and we enjoy them.

My daughter got this set for her 1st birthday, and it’s still one of her favorite games! When she was younger, we had fun playing together in lots of different ways, and now at 2.5, she’ll get it out and play on her own. It has definitely become a go-to toy in our house. It’s educational and very easy for her to play with. Quality is the only reason I ga e 4 stars instead of 5- I do wish the little animals were a bit bigger, and some of the colors are a little odd (one even has red-painted eyes?). It would also be nice if the cards were laminated for durability. That said, for the price, I’d absolutely buy it again. We use small reusable zipper bags for storage, and stores away perfectly.

My students love these! Simple and engaging, fun and educational! Very durable and nice variety of insects. Very vibrant and nice size for my PreK class!

I really wanted to find an activity of matching tangible objects to photos, which lead me to this product! While it’s been a hit with my son so far, there are a couple things I wish were improved. Firstly, the size of the figurines are so so small. With this being geared towards small children, if they’d just double or triple the size of the animals, I’d make a huge difference in my book. Right now, it’s an activity I leave out of reach of my 19 month old son and he only uses it if I’m closely watching. Secondly, some of the animals don’t really resemble the photo, especially the leopard and bear. However, my son has asked to play with this everyday since we bought it, so I’d still recommend it.

This material has been fantastic for our toddler classroom. The animals are a great size for toddler, not too big, and not too small. The animals are also very durable. If a toddler were to put these in their mouth they would not be able to bite and break them apart. The cards are pretty durable as well. Since I am using them in a classroom I will laminate them for extra protection. The value of this lesson is best. The colors make it very attractive to the kids. I highly recommend this lesson for your child at home or a classroom.
