Chrome Visor. No tape, No glue.
First cover your front fenderso when your drop tools or parts on it you have something to keep it from getting nicked. Once covered you will find you don't drop as many things., why ? who knows just the way thing are. I installed this on a 06 Road King. I removed the chrome trim ring, one screw at bottom and held at top by a wire clip. Pry out from the bottom . Next I removed the 3 small self tapping screws holding the galvanized ring that holds the headlight in place. I installed the visor under the galvanized ring that holds the bulb in place. DO Not remove the adjustment screws for your headlights alignment. bracket . The lip of the visor fits under the galvanized ring. Replace the 3 self tapping screws. they are short and a little bit of a pain to to get back in place. If they were a tad longer it would make this a lot easier. I didn't see how you could use silicone or tape unless you were trying to attach this to the chrome trim ring.. That seems like a mess and not very secure. I have install these on other bikes and always installed under the headlight ring. With that said the chrome trim ring may not fit as tight as it did. You have just added a shim to headlight ring. It should fit close and and be secure. Make sure the lip stays under the ring as you snug it down. The job should take you under an hour. Half that time you will spend looking on the floor for one of the small screws you dropped. Not a difficult job just take your time. The visor itself is good quailty and priced better then others. I put visors on my passing lights also gives the bike a little old school class.

Showy visor gives bike a Classic Look!
I installed this on my Yamaha V-star 950. First I covered my front fender with a blanket for protection from dropped parts. Then I removed the two external screws holding the lamp assembly to the main housing. Next, I carefully wiggled the lamp assembly out of the housing. Then I removed the two internal screws on either side of the assembly that hold it to the bezel ring. These two screws have loc-tite so they may be a difficult to remove.Use a #2 Phillips screwdriver and a lot of torque. One of the screws was tough to break and the soft-metal screw head started to strip. So I took some small locking pliers (Vise Grips) and clamped it onto the screw head and removed it that way. Note that the two screws are threaded into fixed female threads, but there is also a redundant set of flat, square nuts that must be held while unscrewing.Once those two screws are removed, the bezel ring can be separated from the lamp assembly. I found that the diameter of the headlight visor was slightly larger than my bezel. Maybe the bezel was 6 and 7/8" while the visor is 7". So I had to very gently, and I mean GENTLY, bend the visor ever so slightly to a smaller diameter to get it to fit under the bezel. As other reviewers have commented, the lip of the visor fits under the bezel ring, but very loosely It can be pushed back and forth even after the installation is complete. Some have said they plan to use silicon to "glue" the visor to the bezel. Others said they used shims. I'm still considering the best means of fixing the visor to the bezel ring so it doesn't move back and forth. Any methods and their pros and cons would be welcome!

Meh...
I wanted a visor for my headlight for my V-Star 950 - the spot light visors were perfect but the headlight visor just doesn't fit tight. I read other reviews and took apart my entire rim and light, bent the visor slightly to try and round it out to fit the chrome headlight rim better - ended up using some gorilla tape to hold it in place. Looks ok from far away, but close inspection and you can see it just doesn't fit nicely. Bummer since Yamaha doesn't make visors for the 950s...

I guess it'll do.
Thought I would try this item out, make my headlamp different from stock, without an expensive replacement. I had to do some shade tree engineering to make it sit in place, without moving, but I'm not sure that it will last. I think I'll go ahead and buy the real deal headlamp, but this will do until I do. The chrome job is nice, polishes really well and the item is not flimsy. It's just that it does not "attach" very well to my headlamp casing.

Fits well and looks good
You will need some silicone on the inside to make sure it stays in place but that's not hard to do at all. Fits just as it says, looks good, and I don't have any problems with it at all.

Good quality, looks good but..
This is a well made, significant thickness metal, looks great once you have secured it, but, it doesn't come with any sort of installation hardware, no glue, clips, nothing. You have to figure out how to make it stay. I had to glue mine to the chrome headlight trim.

Kinda small
Fine product. Looks too small on my C50 in my opinion. I bought another larger version to replace it.

Great quality, good mil thickness, beautiful chrome!
First , I will say this visor is of good quality and the chrome is beautiful. I'm sure it may fit some 7" headlights easily but , not all of them as in my 07 Royal Star Venture. That being said , I had read that some "mechanical engineering "may be required to install visors. So , be prepared and have patience. In my case, some manipulation of the curvature needed to be performed with great care. ( lots of time and patience) . My vise was helpful. Visor has a good mil thickness. The lip on the visor that has to tuck up under the headlight retaining ring needed to be ground down about 1/16" to allow it to fit. I put a little marine enamel on the grinded edge to avoid any future rusting. (Painted edge not visible). Also bought the Show Chrome 4 1/2" driving light visors. Same procedure. A winter "down time" project !! With some swearing and alot of patience , I can honestly say they look fantastic !! Yes , I am a perfectionist .

Simple visor, worked for me.
I managed to install this on the stock headlight housing of my 2005 triumph speedmaster. Added a neat little touch to it.

Decent
Took some modification but was able to mount to my headlight. Felt a little loose but so far it hasn't moved at all. Haven't got much use so far due to winter finally showing up but will update if needed.

Great Quality Product
Requires a sealant, or Two sided Tape to stop it from moving around on your Headlight (Frustrating !!)
