The Little Red Hen (Easy-To-Read Folktales)

I LOVE THIS BOOK! I read this story when I was a child but I ended up losing the book though and I’m so glad I was able to buy it again so I can read it to my daughter and one day she can also read it. Brings back to many memories! The book size is average and I just love the story!

Brought back so many memories from my childhood! I’m in my 30s and wanted to share this book with my children! I would recommend!

The art is so beautiful in this book—every page! The story is great and basically the original. My toddler loves to “read” this book with me and say, “Not I, said the dog” in a low voice, then giggle. She requests the book all the time and always finishes the book with, “She earned it.” Great lesson about earning things through hard work and also that we should help others.

The ultimate capitalism primer. Far too many children grow up learning exactly the wrong thing about capitalism. This encapsulates it perfectly, however: "The one who is unwilling to work shall not eat." Not only that, but it shows the importance of that rule. The only reason we have food is because there are people willing to do all the important tasks involved in creating that food. Why, then, should they work for the benefit of others that are unwilling to work? Worse, why should they be required to share it? This is the failing of socialism and communism, and the reason why Jamestown nearly starved itself into oblivion. Buy this book. Teach your child the importance of working for their dinner. Your child, and the world, will be much better-off. By the way, I got this for my nephew to read to him when he's visiting. He adores it.

It was mailed in a soft envelope so by the time i received it. The book had a bend diagonally and the front cover has a very noticeable mark. A bit disappointing sunce this was gonna be our permanent cope to pass down to grand kids

An old familiar story that my grandchildren love to hear, with interesting pictures and some singsong repetitive phrases that they love to mimic. Of course, the story has a good message for everyone to pitch in when there is work to be done.

This book has great morals and work standards that show if you don't help with the preparations don't expect to partake of the rewards. I had this book as a child and loved it. now i bought it for my great grandchild

I expected the CD to be the Picture book and the audio as a slide presentation., the CD is audio only. I already had the book, I was wanting to put the CD in and have the Story and Audio play together. I was very disappointed.
