Proscan PLDED4016A 40-Inch 1080p Full HD LED TV, black

Looking for a non-smart tv for a bedroom no smaller than 40”. A Search found the ProScan on Amazon. I looked at the reviews and ratings and decided to purchase the 40” screen. From personal testimonials it is not a good idea to have a smart tv in a bedroom so this was a great option. The picture is great but the sound doesn't seem to be Dolby. Maybe it's just my hearing.

I just got my Proscan 40 inch TV this morning and has been running good all day, I ordered it non Nov 9th it was shipped the same day so it took 7 days to get here and I consider myself lucky. I read the reviews and was a little apprehensive about ordering it but feel just fine now for those whom need the Direct TV handset code for it is ( 13577 ) it works fine, it has a better picture than the Vizo of the same size and the sound is fine I have a sound bar and with that the sound is good.The menus are self explanatory had it up and running In 10 minutes so we will see how it does, so far I give my experience a five star, thank you Amazon.

I bought this because I wanted a dumb tv. And in that regard it is awesomeBut, I also needed it to fit on a 24” wide TV stand. The picture shows that the support is in the middle, which means it would be great for that TV.However, the TV we received (that has the same model number on the box as this listing) has supports on both sides. They are about 32” apart, so it won’t fit. I’ll have to add a shelf to the top of my TV stand so it will fit.Otherwise, this is exactly what I was looking for.

We'd had it with so called smart tvs. When our smart tv took over the antenna interface by adding 260 channels of free TV that we had no interest in along with a bloated SLOW interface, that was the last straw. We got this "dumb" tv because it had a built in tuner for the antenna and two HDMI ports for our streaming and casting devices. We added speakers as well as the TV sound is tinny on it's own. We couldn't be happier with a tv that doesn't need to connect to the Internet, that is so simple to operate and has a very nice menu interface. We stream all our favorite services (via HDMI devices) and use the antenna for local stations. Very happy with this tv!!

Great price for and great picture for Antenna Air (FREE) TV without the Smart TV that requires internet connection.Still has USB, Computer and other Non-Internet features.

Wish I'd never bought the damn thing! It only accepts line in, and (aside from a digital sound out for surround sound) HAS NO OUTPUT. Despite the fact that it is not a "smart" tv, the touted connections list on their product description DOES NOT MENTION THAT IT IS NOTHING MORE THAN A GLORIFIED VIDEO SCREEN WITH A DIGITAL TUNER! Borders on false advertising. THE USER MANUAL IS WORTHLESS AND CONTAINS NOTHING BEYOND WHAT ANY FIRST GRADER CAN DEDUCE FROM LOOKING AT THE BACK OF THE TV SET! Cannot connect any recording device to record, or send a signal from the tv to even my laptop!SAVE YOUR MONEY, BUY A REAL TV, NOT A VIDEO SCREEEN!!!

IT SUCKED!!!!! all the electrical outputs and inputs are assbackwards to anything I've had before. I gave it to a friend who only had a 19" tube tv, so a great update for him,not me.

Normally easy to set up, I'm kinda embarrassed. No directions to set up to cable and dvr...still using two remotes.
