iPhone For Seniors For Dummies, 9th Edition

This is the third Dummies for Seniors book I own (my first was for my iMac and second for my iPad). These books are written in a clear and easy to understand manner. The print is larger than a normal User Guide and includes screen shots for every step the authors refer to in their text. It is a superb complement to the iPhone's User Guide. After going through the Dummies book, I am able to look up specific topics in the User Guide for the iPhone and can understand more of what is written there.

Makes it easier for a true beginner.

If you aren't familiar with iPhones this is not the book for you. When I ordered it, I was looking for instructions for the iPhone 8 & this book came up in the search. Had the highest rating so I thought it would be perfect. NOT SO, for me anyway. (Maybe that's because I'd still be happy with my old flip phone that didn't even have a camera) The author spends A LOT of time on the later models and it got pretty confusing.I guess he didn't want to revamp and publish a new book for every new model so he lumped a few phones into one. If that's not a problem for you, there IS a lot of useful info inside, but it was TMI for me.UPDATE - Chilled & picked up the book again with a "new attitude". The information I needed IS in this book - I just had to get my brain right and focus only on the info that pertained to the iPhone 8

My Dad is 88 just started using an iPhone . It was a great book for him .we can now FaceTime & he recently sent his first email to a friend he hasn’t seen in yrs!!!

This goes into detail for "NEW" users of iPhones. It also gives you tips on what things you can do, and what you might want to try. Very informative, and well organized; with pictures, and indexes to find things!

The book is certainly written for seniors. I appreciate being able to look up questions while I’ve had an iPhone for a long time this is my third one! I never use all the capabilities so it’s wonderful to have a book I do better with the book then online

My grandparents got an iPhone roughly 5 years ago and have never been able to use it. However after this book there were able to figure out how to use a lot of the functions on their phone and now they call me on FaceTime all the time!

I bought this book for an Iphone illiterate and she found it helped her. It is cross referenced also.

Only looking to buy an iphone 7 as cannot afford the the iphone 11 upwards, but this book, published in 2020 covers up to the latest iphone 13 yet also the iphone 7 and 7 plus. I've only looked at the first few pages but the clear larger print, and easy to read style of book, with phone screen layout diagrams, will have me face-timing friends, downloading apps, listening to music, sending emails and scanning the Net in no time. WHAT A FANTASTIC FIND giving me the iphone world knowledge at my fingertips!

Given as a gift, has everything she'd been wondering about
