Revived a broken hose
Hose was completely fine except for the broken coupling. This works well to replace the coupling. Note you will need the other connector piece for the spigot. I didn’t realize and had to order that next.

Perfect solution

Hose connector that leaks
The item is constructed very heavy duty. I inserted the hose and found there was leaking, not knowing there is a little nib inside my particular hose. I managed to shaved off the little nib inside with a wood carving knife to make sure it was smooth inside. There was a leak after I done that as well, no matter how tight I have it, it leaks!! Can't return it because I used a plie trying to tight it further, it is made of plastic. I even tried on a different make hose with no inside nib, it is the same, small leak that makes you feel uncomfortable. May be their metal counterpart is better but cannot be sure. I gave a four star because it really looks good and nice to hold on.

Beware: Repair connectors come in tap end and accessory end.
Good product. Be aware that there is a tap end repair connector and an accessory end connector that includes water stop feature. Only the accessory end connector includes water stop. 36826 → Tap End Repair Connector (for the faucet side). 32914 → Accessory/Hose End Repair Connector with Water Stop (for the tool/nozzle side).

Best gadget to connect after cutting a hose
I used it to connect two hoses with one of the horses without any threads at one end. Works perfectly and so far no leaks at the connecting point.

Improperly described merchandise!
Despite what the description says, this hose fitting DOES NOT have a built-in water stop. If you disconnect your plugged in attachment from this fitting with the water still turned on, you will have a FLOOD!

No adapter included!
Be warned! You have to buy the Gardena adaptor for your spigot which is not included with this, even though it is pictured. If you have the adapter, the product seems to work well.
