Great Math Review Game
I purchased this game for my third grader, who is reluctant to practice his math facts. This game tricked him into doing math problems and it was tons of fun, too. It's a little more challenging than other Sequence games we've played, as there are more than two cards that can be played on some of the spots, so once you factor in the wild cards, there's a pretty good chance you'll end up with a dead card or two in your hand. This can be frustrating for the kids (and parents), but it was great practice for finding different math facts that equaled the same number.

Arithmetic & Brain Power
Sequence Numbers Another great game from the Sequence people. I bought this game for use in my first-grade ESL class, but found it was too difficult for them at this point. However, it proved to be perfect for third, fourth, and even some fifth graders who are in the initial stages of learning English. Most students mastered, or outgrew, the game in short order. So, I simply made a new set of cards with more difficult math problems, for example "7 X 3 - 1=?" or "111 ÷ 11=?). (Come on, Sequence people, you should have thought of that first!) Thus, whether you use the game cards or make up your own more challenging cards, this game will be fun as well as educational for your smart pre-schooler, your struggling grade-schooler, or even your genius middle- or high-schooler.

Great addition to our Sequence Games!
We play a lot of games as a family. My daughter already had Sequence for Kids and we had the regular Sequence game. We love them both. This was a great addition to our games, as it gives my 6 year old the opportunity to practice her addition and subtraction skills while still playing a game and having fun. We all love it! I wish the board was bigger with more squares so that we could make 2 sequences to win (like in the original game), but otherwise, a great game.

Good game for basic math skills. May not keep kids interested for long
Ok I like this game a lot! I like that we have to use addition and subtraction to play. It does strengthen basic math skills. This game also requires strategy to win. However, sometimes you run out of options and can no longer use certain cards if your number is equal to the numbers already being played on the board. This makes it a bit frustrating (especially for kids). Not only are they trying to do mental math and game strategy to get 5 in a row, but when the numbers their cards equal are already covered, they have to figure out what to do. Special learners will need a bit of guidance from mom or dad when this happens. My 9-yr-old son does not enjoy this game as much as I do. He realizes he's doing math and there's nothing else to keep him interested other than the chance of winning and spending time with momma. Otherwise, this is a great game for strengthening basic addition & subtraction, and using strategy to look at the cards and determine the best option for getting 5 in a row. Parents can bend the rules a bit and only require 4 in a row. Kids may find the game a little boring.

This game is good and fun
This game is good and fun. We like this game because it is like Connect Four and Uno in one game - and we love both of those games. The game helped us count and do math. We liked that we had to use strategy to play the game. We also liked playing in teams.

Best learning game ever!!!!
Kids do not like flash cards so I was nervous when I got this game. My grandson loves it. We play it every time he comes over. He doesn’t think of it as flash cards. Start small though three in a row and work your way up to covering the whole board.

Highly recommend!!
Great game! I have played the original Sequence game and was hoping this would be just as good. It is! And it packed some math facts in there! I have played this a couple of times with my 10 year to help her brush up on her math facts. I plan to use this with my first graders during the second semester as a center. Fun and easy to learn!

Beware- the adult does not always win (even if you DO try...)!
We have had this game a couple of years now, and It is still one we pull out often, more so perhaps when it's my turn to choose, because it's not always possible for the grownup to win...sure we add up better, but we may not get the card with the winning sum..so it's one of a few rare games where you honestly are not 'letting' your kid win always. That's good for you and them, because they know...If you have the patience to play a game with your kid that also teaches them math skills ( plus some basic strategy) - this is a very good choice.
