BESTOOL Detangling Brush, Detangler Brush for Natural Black/ Curly Hair Afro 3/4abc Texture, Faster n Easier Detangle Wet or Dry Hair with No Pain (Black)

The brush arrived early this morning, just in time to wash & brush my daughter's hair. I tried it both with and without the little bar. I think I prefer it without it. It was so much easier & less of a chore to get the knots out! My daughter didn't flinch, complain, or grab her hair at the roots like she has in the past. Afterwards, she said "That didn't really hurt like before!" It was still a workout for me, but nowhere near as bad as it's been with other brushes. GET THIS BRUSH! My daughter has beautiful, long, thick, curly hair. I'm still brushing it for her, and we've tried combs, various brushes, including Knot Genie & Wet brushes - none worked & all caused pain. It's always been an incredible workout for me to brus her hair, & we only ever did it after washing her hair & while it was still wet. I use Cantu Curls shampoo & conditioner on her, as well as the leave in conditioner spray that also serves as a detangler. Regardless, she gets terrible tangles & at times mats in her hair - especially where her CPAP tube sits on the top of her head. I found it easier to do somewhat small sections at a time. I started at the bottom and worked my way up to her roots. I did try to use it vertically at first, but due to the length of her hair, that didn't really work for me. I used Cantu Curls leave in conditioner spray as I went along, and after completing the sections, I then went back and brushed her entire head. The plastic bristles made it all the way through to her scalp, which is almost unheard of. My daughter has suffered with dandruff in one part of her scalp, & bristles from other brushes couldn't reach it. This one got rid of the flakes! I suspect that as we use it more, it will get easier for both of us, but she liked the brush & didn't complain once. Hopefully, she'll soon move toward brushing her hair herself now that we found this incredibly brush.

I expected this to be a plastic flop. I was pleasantly surprised. I have a very tangled wig and when I say tangled it's about 2 years old, in regular rotation... Yes, that means knots at the back of the nape area, but very cared for. This thing right here is absolutely amazing! I used it dry with and without the tracker clasp and it got out knots that formed around the nape back there and I've been covering up but this worked really really good and there's not a lot of pulling. I did do my brushing with the wig on my head. Highly recommend for weaves and wigs, as well as your own hair. I'm 3C.

After seeing this brush on so many videos, I decided to try it. Best detanging brush ever. One of the reasons why I hate wash day is to detangle and process. This may watch day. So much easier. I told my daughter about it and I will be buying her one as well.

This detangling brush works, but it’s not as gentle as I expected. It does help get through knots, but it can be pretty painful when combing, especially on thicker or more tangled hair. The design is nice and it feels sturdy, but I find myself having to go really slowly to avoid pulling. It might work better for people with fine or lightly tangled hair, but for tougher knots, it’s not the most comfortable option.

The best detangler brush I have used. Doesn't rip out your hair and massages the scalp. I would highly recommend this item.

I ordered one brush for me, and two for my dog. I haven’t used them on my dog, yet, but the one I used worked well in my hair. I believe anyone (types 1-4c and various thicknesses, lengths, and fragility) can use the brushes, as long as the proper hair products are first applied. The videos explain how to hold the brush (vertically or horizontally), and I preferred brushing with the little bar attached.

For reference my hair is a combination of 3B/3C and very thick. It detangles super well. However there’s issues that other reviews didn’t wanna mention. 1. When I brush it through my hair it takes out ALL the product. Like with each brush, huge globs of conditioner just comes straight out. Which is very annoying. I’ve never had a brush that does this. 2. Leaves my hair feeling like straw and super frizzy after it dries. Again I’ve never used a brush that does this. 3. It’s terrible for styling. It makes my curl pattern look awful. It’s very annoying. Between the frizz, the way it makes my curls look bad, and it being awful for styling, I wouldn’t recommend. But it is incredible at instantly detangling hair better than other brushes I’ve tried. So there’s that. If that’s what you want go ahead and get it.

Worth it every penny! Absolutely amazing brush; I did not expect it to be so good and helpful with detangling hair. The difference when using it vertically vs horizontally was also great when getting through to detangle my hair.

Easy on the hair and great for styling after

It toke me a while to find the original Bestool brush among many face imitations, I actually bought the fake ones twice and there’s a big difference. Fake ones are made of more stiff plastic than this one , which makes detangling a living hell of a process. But the original Bestool is real game changer for detangling my thick coarse C3 hair after I tried everything else out there. It’s plastic is softer so it goes back and forth through each knot in your hair, you meed patience and keep repeating if the situation is bad, but it’s not as painful as other options out there. Also the thick long bristles will work better for thick hair than Wet Bruch and Tangle Teaser, cutting time by half.
