This bug spray has a slight vanilla scent which is nice compared to the standard bug repellent smell. This stuff works great! I definitely keep this one stocked. Worth the purchase for sure.

Love the smell, love the lightweight, non-greasy feel, and love that the mosquitoes buzz off! I even spray it on our patio furniture and gazebo curtains for the fragrance and repellent!

worked great in Ghana against misquitos but does nothing in Texas against them. But when I lived in Iowa this stuff worked very well so I think its just Texas.

Although this spray is designed to be used as a bug spray, I've also found it effective for spraying around windows to deter pests. I had a really bad gnat problem in my apartment. The gnats were small enough to pass through our window screens, and although we would kill them with traps, more and more gnats would replace the ones killed. I looked at getting an outdoor perimeter bug spray, but all of them had toxic chemicals and were unsafe for pets. Since I have pets and would primarily be spraying this around windows, I wanted to make sure it wasn't toxic. I found this spray only used natural chemicals, and although it isn't designed to be used as a home perimeter spray I took the chance and purchased it. Glad that I did! It has worked really well for keeping our gnats. Just after 1 day I noticed all the gnats were gone in our place, and after 2 weeks the spray is still effective. Do keep in mind, the spray leaves an oily residue on surfaces. Made one of my windows foggy/messy, but it wasn't too big of an issue for me. Additionally, the spray does have a smell to it. It's not a terribly strong or bad smell, but it does have a smell. The smell lasted for about 3 days before fading. Hope this review helps for anyone looking to get a safe natural spray for keeping out house flies.

My favorite bug spray to keep the midwest gnats away! Works well, nice scent. Not sticky. I really love this set for the small bottle that is great for travel.

This is a mixed review. Yes it does work very well, is not greasy and smells pretty good. I use it on myself and an outside cat that is a magnet for gnats and mosquitos. For that I give it 3 stars. Please be forewarned to not get this spray anywhere near your eyes! I sprayed myself in all the normal places (arms, neck, chest area etc.) and it eventually made it to my eyes either by towel or hands. I made an effort to flush my eyes and used artificial tears For the next few hours. Next day and I can tell there is a bit of scarring that hopefully will go away with time and lubricant drops.

My cousin (Florida resident) needed me to order a different product to cope with flying insects in his neck of the woods. I ordered it several days ago, shipping of that item has been at a snails pace. Instead of making him wait for his initial product, I ordered him Bug Soother as a replacement until the item he wants arrives. Not only did this item arrive in a timely manner, he's been using it every day! He's used Bug Soother prior to going outside to mow in the evenings. He was happy to tell me that the gnats never bothered him at all (his worst pest issue is gnats). Thank you for getting this to my cousin so quickly. Because of your timeliness as well as a great natural pest control, my cousin has been able to get his outdoor work taken care of without the annoyance of flying pests! PS-I ordered some for myself, as I'm going on a trip in a few months to the Midwest. Growing up there, I know how bad the pests can get. The travel size Bug Soother I ordered will make things more tolerable!

I have been using commercial and chemical-grade bug repellents this season and previously. This season, I could no longer stand the idea of spraying myself down with a chemical. What I have been using was in an aerosol can that smelled terrible, was not environmentally friendly, and was oily. Hence I had to look for a better solution, so I found BugSoother and was hopeful this approach would be better for me and the environment. Sadly, it just does not work for me. The reviews are accurate, it smells nice, and I like the idea of the handy spray bottles, which are better than a bulky can. Some user reviews here claim that no oily residue is left on your skin; I did not experience that. The site also claims no oily residue left behind; again not my experience. Even now, as I type this review, there is a sticky, weird feeling residue on my arms and legs. Also, the product site claims that the frequency of reapplication is typically 1 hour and can repel up to 10 hours. That's not the case here. I walk my dog, and when one bug or gnat appears, I spray all over, then less than 3 minutes later, they are back again, and this horrible attack continues until Sophie and I get back indoors. This product did not work for me; I am still being served up as an offering as a tribute to the bugs and gnats every time I walk out with or without this product. I do appreciate being able to return this product, and I do hope that my experience helps the organization look into why this did not work for me.
