I read some of the review and people complain that the battery does not fit. You do need to push the connection firmly to get it to snap in but it took a minute to install. This includes unscrewing the back plate, removing the old battery and replacing it, then screwing the plate back on. It even comes with the needed screwdriver. After testing g battery lasts for hours! Three to four times longer than the OEM. I’m not understanding why Nintendo put in such a small worthless battery in the first place but this is a nice upgrade for your Wii U gamepad! Highly recommend!

Lasts way longer than the original charger did back then. Changing it was a breeze, 2 screws and a little connector and you're good to go. Lithium has gotten cheaper so you can get this bigger battery for a good price compared to back when the wii u came out. It even comes with the little precision screwdriver if you dont have your own set

I've had this for about a week so far, so I can't say whether or not this battery stand the test of time, but so far it's been great. The battery in my gamepad was completely dead, and now it works perfectly. I haven't drained the battery yet, but after playing for about 3 hours, the console shows it at 3/4ths battery. It takes a while to charge, but that's to be expected. It does take a little force to connect the battery, but I don't think it was nearly as hard as the other reviews make it seem. Just use something flat to press it in.

It does not fit. Now that I sort reviews by "Most recent" it seems like there is a batch of incorrectly assembled batteries being sold by this seller. Hopefully they can correct this because before the end of 2025 it seems like most customers were satisfied. I bought mine on 1/1/26 and received one that clearly has the wrong connector on it. The 2 most recent reviews right now (1/11/26) describe the same issue. Quite a frustrating problem that the seller should resolve. DO NOT TRY TO FORCE THIS CONNECTOR INTO YOUR WII U! It should click in just as easily as the original did. Its a shame to because the battery itself is huge compared to the original and it looks like it lasts forever when it comes with the right connector. The shape of the battery is not the problem. Even though it is much bigger than the original, it will still fit great in the console. The connector will not fit into the console though.

The connector is not compatible with the WUP-010 at least. It won't fit. If you are going to advertise this as compatible, you should make sure it actually fits. This does not work with the Wii U. Update: I managed to get the connector to fit but it's missing the plastic molded guide rails on the back which means it sits too low if you don't hold it up a bit while you are inserting it and won't go in at that position. The battery itself works great, it lasts a long time. Because the connector is not intuitive, I can't give this 5 stars.

Good battery at a good price. Hold a charge much longer than the factory battery.

As the other reviewers, plug a bit stiff, but went in with little effort. Fits well, holding charge after several weeks.

Worked well as expected, the connector is tight but take your time and it fits perfectly. This is a significant upgrade over the original battery pack that comes with the wiiu gamepad.

Even after a replacement battery was sent, both batteries had the same issue. The connect for this new battery does not fit into the Gamepad's battery connector. Judging from the amount of positive reviews for this, I thought I was doing something wrong. But even after an excessive amount of force, neither battery would fit into the connector.
