Fast shipping and really easy to put together. Just remember the feet have to be moved back towards the edge until it clicks into place, then the screw holes line up perfectly. I did one where I "forced" the alignment, went back to read the instructions again, actually followed the instructions and went super smooth from there. It heats extremely well for the three main rooms (LR, DR, and my office) so I can set the thermostat to 60 and still stay warm. I live in a house built in the 1920s so have the big high ceilinged drafty rooms...this small heater works extremely well to make those spaces livable and help to cut my electric bill. If I can rework my kitchen, I will purchase another one to help heat that side of the house as well.

We have 2 quartz heaters we bought from Amazon at the same price. The other heater was another popular Quartz heater, and this one as well. This is attractive, heats a small space well, is not overly noisy, and it is fun for the kids to watch. HOWEVER, it does NOT produce as much heat as the other heater by a long shot . ALso the feet are plastic and if you leaned on it or the kids climbed on it (obviously not intended but stuff happens!), i can see that they would probably just snap off forever and never function again. The factory put a gooey sticker on the front glass of course that left a mess though i carefully picked it off which is always a pain and seems so pointless. But if you are a careful person looking for a functional attractive heater, this is not too bad.

I absolutely love this item. If you don't or can't have a fireplace but enjoy the ambiance of one, then this is the next best thing. I like it because you can enjoy the coziness of just the flame effect, on a high or low speed, or you can enjoy both the heater and the "flames." I did not come to the opinion that the flames look too phony. I think they look perfectly normal. I don't know how they do this? but I think it is amazing and have been enjoying it ever since I got it. As far as heating? In my case of heating a very large dining living area combined I was surprised that it heated the entire room not only very quickly, but adequately as well, so much so that I had to turn it back off after the room got a bit too warm. I haven't had this very long so I cannot attest to the time this will function without any problems..but for the money, along with free shipping, I'm a very happy camper

My hubby has commented on this one. He gives it 5 stars. We love it. Has seriously warmed our house and I got our first utility bill and it has gone up around $30 and we’ve had it on everyday, pretty much all day. No it doesn’t have a thermostat but it does have a reliable temp dial and I like the fire look. I’ve unfortunately developed lung issues this year with all the wild fires, so I’m thankful to not have to rely on a wood fire this year.

It works, and does the job it's supposed to. It just has a noisy fan. We have one other of these, also Duraflame, but a different model, which is much quieter. Overall, happy with purchase.

Someone asked for a picture. Here is the remote, mind you my hand is the size of a teenager. Photo of the highest setting with lights on and off. Heat comes from a strip on the bottom. The top doesn't get hot. The 'door' opens so you can control on/off/setting without the remote. It looks like cast iron but light enough for me to carry/move.

Absolutely awesome!! Keeps my living room WARM! I work from home & don’t need my furnace to heat up whole house. By closing doors to rooms not used during the day, this unit does the job & then some. Simple to adjust heat for the area. And I love the remote!

This is the third Duraflame Infared heater I’ve bought. The first was in 2017. I bought the second last winter and sent the third to my daughter living in the Blue Mountains in VA.They are great. We use them to maintain the room temperature. I set my home gas heating system to 68. The infrared heaters maintain that temp, so my gas heating doesn’t turn on and off all the time. The heaters use very little electricity. I am able to save money on my heating costs!

We haven't used it very much yet. We bought for our outdoor cedar gazebo for colder days. Sure looks nice but don't know yet about the performance yet. The last one we bought (different model) only lasted one season so we hope this one will be of better quality.

Very good overall. Easy to install. Some parts are in plastic but the finish looks good quality. The only thing is that we can see the light of the flame on the back wall when it not close enough, but that is easy to fix.
