The Gruffalo

I had never read this before buying. I loved the story and think this will be a wonderful addition to my children's book collection.

One of my favourites!

Delivered on time. This is a wonderful children’s book.

My 3 year old son LOVES it. Such a clever book.

This was a gift for my new grandson. Well written, age appropriate children’s books are very important for young people in so many ways. I am hoping to encourage my grandson to love reading and I believe this book suits that purpose perfectly and will be one of his favorite books for years to come. This book is a must have for every young child in my opinion.

This is one of our bedtime favorites! It is so clever and also not too long! Our kids have loved it since I can remember, and my 7 year old still does! We bought it as a gift for my niece!

This is one of my 3 yo son’s favorite books! I picked this for a story time at daycare and it is one of our most read books. It’s a very cute rhyming story with beautiful illustrations. One of our regulars for bedtime book time. He loves it so much that we even got the Gruffalo Tonie too!

I recommend this book to everyone! I've read it to my students and my own children and all of them have loved it!

The Gruffalo by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler is a timeless children’s classic that never loses its magic. The story of the clever little mouse outwitting his predators with the myth of the Gruffalo is both funny and smart, teaching children about courage, creativity, and quick thinking. The rhyming text flows beautifully, making it a joy to read aloud—parents will love it just as much as kids do. Axel Scheffler’s illustrations are charming, colourful, and full of personality, bringing the woodland creatures to life in a way that instantly captures young imaginations. It’s no wonder this book has become a staple on every child’s bookshelf—perfect for bedtime stories or classroom reading. Pros: • Engaging, rhythmic storytelling that’s fun to read aloud • Beautiful, vibrant illustrations • Encourages imagination and problem-solving • Appeals to children and adults alike Cons: • None—it’s a must-have! Overall: 5/5 – A wonderfully written and illustrated classic that delights children of all ages. A true essential for every home library
