I'd like to purchase this for a basic full Apple Keyboard. Are the standard stickers roughly 5/8" squared?

I've used these on the standard Windows PC 101 keys keyboard. If you have a standard PC keyboard, you can roughly estimate the size for Apple keyboard. I'm pretty sure it's small enough for Apple and laptops keyboards.

If i did the design work, it would cost the same to take my keyboard into a laser engraver. does it matter if the bumps are divots instead?

I'm a parent of a blind child for 23 years. If you mean a "divot" as in a depression or dent, I've never seen this used. Fingers that are trained to see braille expect small dots. I suspect that it would be too easy to have hands glide right over an "indent." No where in braille is such a representation used to my 23 years experience. It's way cheaper to use transparent braille stickers. They have extra hard plastic that doesn't flatten out over time, they stick on well, and they are transparent so a sighted user can use the keyboard. I have used nothing else but brailled stickers for any sort of electronics.

If I don't know braille, would this be an easy way to learn it automatically during regular typing just by overlaying these stickers on my keyboard?

These stickers is actually to help the visually impaired users to identify the keys on their keyboards. Using these for regular typing might not help much to one to learn (subconsciously), unless the user covers his/her eyes and practice by identifying the keys through the braille codes.

Can these be removed easily without pulling the paint off of & ruining my keyboard keys?

I haven't tried that yet. But this is very helpful for my daughter who is blind.
