Is this product similar to tacrolimus? or does it take the place of optixcare? thanks!

This product is not anything like tacrolimus. Tacrolimus is supposed to increase year production and help with the pigmentation that occurs with dry eye. This does none of that. I would only recommend this for mild dry eye. My dog has severe dry eye and I was applying it up to 4 times daily with no relief for him. Unfortunately only tacrolimus is tacrolimus.

What is expiration date?

My batch was 6/23, but I have had mine for several weeks. I suspect the newer orders will have a slightly later date.

Using twice daily ~after surgery. Keeps eyes moist- no goo in the am. Can tell when I forget. Couldn't afford the hydration RX any longer. When I notice the other dog having alot of goo in am- give a drop at night- helps. Was told that the goo is from allergies or dryness.... love this stuff...
