Trust your instincts, check your radon.
*Original Review:* When buying my house, the home inspector told me it passed the radon inspection so I had nothing to worry about. I happened to glance over his shoulder and see the read-out from his radon monitor. It showed radon levels above 4.0 pCi/L for 1 of the 3 days. He said not to worry about the high day, just trust the 3-day average, which was about 2.5 pCi/L. I couldn't get it out of my head and decided to buy this radon monitor. It was easy to set up in about 10 minutes (just follow the instructions). The app allowed me to easily read the radon levels and compare them over time. I have been running the monitor for months and check it every day to be safe. It performs perfectly. I found that the radon level has remained above 10.0 pCi/L for an entire week at a time, and has even hit 30.0 pCi/L on occasion. It would fail the home inspection 4 out of 5 times, but the inspector happened to check it during a good week. I'm just glad I trusted my instincts instead of listening to the home inspector. *Update after 6 months:* Once the weather turned cold, the radon in my basement jumped to levels like 80 pCi/L and remained above 20 pCi/L for weeks at a time. I called a radon mitigation company to fix it. The radon repair guys have now visited my house to try to track down the source of the radon. It has been a mess. They had to install multiple mitigation systems, one on each side of the basement, to get enough suction to keep the radon levels below 4.0 pCi/L. Since the radon repair guys brought in their $2,000 radon monitors and sniffers, I was able to compare the EcoQube to the professional-grade monitors. EcoQube outperformed the professional models! When the radon was rising, like from 20 to 30 pCi/L, the EcoQube would get to 30 first while the professional monitors were rising slowly. After a while, they all agreed on the number, so they were all equally accurate eventually, but the EcoQube adjusted the most quickly as the radon was rising. *Final Thoughts* You need to track radon continuously over a long period of time to know what’s going on. It fluctuates constantly, so it will be low one week and high the next week. Those 3-day testing kits are completely useless, since you never know if you picked a good week or a bad week to test it. You need a continuous monitor like this that keeps up with the data so you can see how your radon has been rising and falling over a few months. I have now compared radon levels over long periods of time in my basement using EcoQube and the high-end professional radon monitors used by a radon mitigation company. We found that the EcoQube is better than the professional monitors — it gets the right numbers and reports those numbers more quickly than the professional monitors, while also having an easy to use app for visualizing your radon over time and reporting the average levels by day, week, or month. I highly recommend EcoQube.

Accurate, Reliable and Easy to Use—Well Worth the Price
I was due for a radon retest and decided to try the EcoQube instead of buying another disposable home test kit. I was curious to see how its results would compare to the kit I used when I first purchased my home—and they matched up almost exactly. That gave me immediate confidence in the device’s accuracy. Setup was fast and straightforward. I had my first reading within 10 minutes. Since I work from home and my kids often play in the basement, the peace of mind from continuous monitoring is invaluable. I figured worst-case scenario, I could return the EcoQube and go back to disposable kits—but that definitely wasn’t necessary. I’m really glad I made the switch. It’s not a cheap device, but when you consider the cost of repeated test kits over the years, it makes financial sense. Plus, it’s compact and portable, which will be handy if we ever move. There’s no digital display on the device itself, which I knew ahead of time. That wasn’t an issue for me, but it might be for some. You’ll need to download the app to view and track readings. The app is simple to use and gives you current readings as well as daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly averages. You can also export daily readings, which is a nice touch—though I do wish there were an option to export a combined report with all the averages included. Overall, I highly recommend the EcoQube for anyone looking for a long-term, reliable radon monitoring solution.

Good sensor, painful to make it work!
Great product if it works! I had lot of issues setting up the Wifi first time, reached out to customer care they sent me following instructions, Kindly follow the below steps Uninstall previously installed EcoQube App and Reinstall it. Turn off and on the phone. Unplug the power cable from the EcoQube, then plug it back in. Check the LED color displayed when the EcoQube turns on (Red/Orange/Green) and whether it is solid or blinking. Turn your phone's WiFi off and then back on. Check if your Wi-Fi router is functioning properly and if the phone successfully connects to the WiFi network. Turn your phone's Bluetooth (BLE) off and on, and ensure it is turned on. Open the EcoQube app and ensure that all required popups appear, then select ""Allow"" or ""While using the app"" as needed. Tap ‘Next’ on the ""Setting up your device"" screen. [IMPORTANT] Before clicking ‘Next’, check the EcoQube’s LED status—it should not be blinking orange. If the LED is blinking with orange color, turn off and on Bluetooth on your phone. Finish setting up the device and establish a Wi-Fi connection. Everytime the app will crash! Then they asked me to setup using a different phone, I am not sure how I get another phone just for this damn sensor. Somehow it worked. Now I changed my routers, got new mesh system. Kept the wifi name and password same so everything connected as before except this sensor. Now I am back to square 1. Its a good sensor but awful wifi/Bluetooth/app implementation.

Radon is a constant issue, and I used to use a service that leaves radon detectors in place for three months, then let me know the result. At $100 per run, this got expensive over time, and I never knew accurate results by month or week. This device solves those issues. The detector is a small cube that can sit anywhere on a shelf, preferably, or anywhere off the floor. It plugs in to a USB power port, and once you add it to your wifi network through an app, it's online and reporting results constantly. The app shows you the latest reading, plus can show you daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly trends. The app is attractive and easy to use. To test the accuracy, I compared two sets of readings to the older "drop off and leave" tester I was using, and they were within a small margin of error of each other. Which is accurate I can't say, but it doesn't really matter. This sensor lets you sleep at night knowing radon detection is constant, consistent, and easy to leave to do it's job. I am impressed by this sensor, and can highly recommend it.

Very satisfied with the product and the function, now I can see in real time the status of the radon level in the room. Would have been even better if the product could control devices such as fans to ventilate the room.

Easy to use, can download data, good reporting and good backup if you hit a technical hitch. No idea of accuracy yet, but I suspect it is vs readings we have taken outside, & our measured history inside. Readings tanked and were level. Unit flagged a reset, but still level, then more normal cyclic profile. Radon is a mysterious gas. Important to have it up high enough & to not put it on masonry or put things near it.
