SPI Octopus Wind Chimes 30 Inch Cast Iron Garden Decor

It came apart in transit, 2 peices were off in the box. The string is cheap and weak and the knots the same.It’s a heavy item. I tried to hang it to get a better look as peices fell off and beads that held a place behind the lower peices with knots behind them went flying.The knots at the top tied to octopus (4) came undone in my hands as the weight of the peices pulled as I hung it up and some fell. The knot tieing to the actual peices (2) came undone and hit the floor.I had to retied them and get a needle and thread to restring the thread through the beads that had gone flying worried I’d lose one again and I’d not have a match.I decided to put a spot of super glue on each knot to secure them from coming undone as the String is poor quality not made to hold the weight of this item or knots well. Also the strings are different lengths and 2 items were too high one too low to even make contact with the others to chime at all. ( not that the string could support the that kind of stressing at all) I repaired one by raising the string up. The others string is too short to lengthen. The extra strings hanging off would need to be trimmed, but at what cost?I’ve decided after an hours work that it isn’t worth the 30$ even if I kept it I’d have to keep it inside or change the string to wire or fishing string.It looks cheap and I haven’t finished it yet.Too cheap to give as a gift to anyone.With a little effort, and for thoughtThis could have been avoided on their endLiz T, AZ

Cute, but looks better on line than in real life, does not have a nice chime sound and comes poorly package. The first one came broken. I do have to say that the replacement turn around time was amazing.

I like the material of the main pieces; they are solid and heavy, but I'm replacing the "string" with wire or fishing line. It's hanging outside to weather , after all...

I live in townhouse & wanted a beach theme....it looks perfect for that***

Strings will get tnagled in the wind. Some had came untied but that can be fixed. It's cute but they should use better assembly methods.
