I really like this bookcase. Actually I'm up to 5 of them in my collection. I'm a former university lecturer of engineering and have quite a few textbooks. These are definitely up to the challenge, holding full shelves with little to no deflection in them. However, they have plastic feet (also sufficiently rugged) that they have inexplicably formed from GRAY plastic! Mine are sitting on a light beige carpet so it's not so bad, but buyer be aware of this interesting choice of color.

It's a nice looking bookshelf . I have it next to solid wood furniture and it looks good. Easy to follow instructions. The feet are plastic, but still look good. I have mine full of books. Well made. I am really happy I purchased it

Purchased this as an additional piece for our office. We have the matching desk. This is a very study, well manufactured shelf. Although it is still made from particle board, the outside wood grain design is thick and well made. Looks great and weighs quite a bit. Do I think that it is worth the $200+ price tag? Honestly, no, I think that $150 would have been a fairer estimate for what you actually get. Nonetheless, it is still a nice piece and nice addition to our office space.

It’s not the best quality book shelf, but it does the job. The feet are made of plastic. I wasn’t expecting that, but not a big deal. The backing comes folded so there is a crease down the back piece of the shelf. It’s not super noticeable, but it would have been nice to not have that. It makes the shelf look slightly cheaper.

I chose this bookcase because it had positive reviews and the photos showed a quality product for a reasonable price. As soon as I unboxed it, I realized it was not great quality. It has a VERY glossy plastic appearance (from the laminate covering the wood composite), the back piece is VERY thin cardboard, and the small legs are HOLLOW plastic. Once I got all of the pieces from the box, there was no way of re-packaging it, so I built it. It was easy enough to assemble, but now that I’ve built it, I have no idea where to put it. I had hoped to use it in my kitchen for my many cookbooks, but it is not a piece of furniture I want to see. Also, it is a bit unsteady and I’m not confident this bookcase can safely hold the number of books I intended to use it for.

I don't usually leave reviews but I was so happy with Bush Furniture's customer service and the bookcase looks great so I wanted to give their product a shout out.I actually received this bookcase with both side pieces cracked right across the middle. I suspect at no fault of Bush Furniture or Amazon, but most likely UPS, as I imagine this is a common problem with bulkier packages. Anyway, I was expecting to have to go through the trouble of shipping an 80lb box back to Amazon, but Bush Furniture had a flyer inside that asked to give their customer service a chance first if there were any problems. I figured why not, and I'm glad I did, as they shipped out both side panels promptly at no charge. You cannot take this kind of support for granted, even though many do, and I'm very happy they were willing to help out. Once I received the replacement side panels and assembled the bookcase I was very happy with how it looked. It's very easy to put together, and once it's complete it's very sturdy. For this price range, if you're considering this bookcase, I highly recommend it.

great book shelf. had to have some help on assembly. but after assembly it's a book case i would pay double for from a furniture store. satisfied bookshelf owner.
