Works great.
I was skeptical but it worked like a charm. Didn’t work on the Solara scubapro mask but it did work on this one. Very tight and secure. I did not have to remove anything on my mask. It’s attached with a zip tie.

Works well with Scubapro masks
This mount held my GoPro camera securely while I was snorkeling. I have not taken it diving yet. The piece fits all Scubapro dual lens masks because you have to trim some tabs with clippers as part of the installation process. I trimmed my tabs too short, but fortunately the mount is wide enough to be stable on the rim of the mask (to keep from rocking side-to-side). The camera took a great video of snorkeling without me doing anything with the camera (except to turn it on, of course). It surprised me that the mount is connected to the mask using a single, narrow zip tie. Yes, a zip tie. That means I will replace the zip tie after every trip where I dive, to make sure the zip tie doesn't degrade to the point of snapping during a dive. (You don't have to replace it after every dive, just do it at the end of the trip once the trip is finished.) I suggest carrying a small pair of pliers in your gear to help pull the tie thru the holes in the mount, and a small pair of nail clippers to trim off the tie after replacing it. As well as a handful of small ties, of course. These small items easily fit in the case the mask came in. They do not come with the adapter. The zip tie goes between the mask frame and the silicone face seal, so the mask seals to your face the same as it always did. The tie will cause the outer silicone flap to fold over, I suggest you fold it down (instead of up) for appearance reasons. The part is all plastic except for the metal nut that secures the GoPro mount screw. The nut is embedded in the plastic so you don't need to do any special cleaning after diving, just rinse with fresh water.

Great Idea, Poor Execution
I had a ProMate mask with a GoPro mount for the last couple years that I loved but it recently got damaged and I had to find a replacement. I have always liked Scuba Pro products so I bought a Scuba Pro Zoom Mask when I saw that Scuba Pro had a GoPro mount add on like this. I read the other reviews and thought it should work fine, especially since it would be on one of their masks. I got the mask and this accessory and trimmed it as needed to conform to the mask. But the loop for the wire tie was not low enough to put the pressure to hold it in place correctly. It kept wanting to rotate up and pull away from mask. The only way I was able to make this secure so as not to lose my camera the first time I jumped in the water was to clamp it down and epoxy it to the mask. It is now secure and will be fine as long as I don’t need to return the mask for any reason, since I have obviously voided the warranty with the epoxy.

So far so good. Tested successfully with a dry run.
I have Hawaii Snorkel Bob prescription snorkel mask and was looking for a way to attach a GoPro camera when I came upon this mount. It installs easy enough with a zip tie and fits snug against the mask. I attached a GoPro Hero 8 and tested with a dry run. It feels like it should work fine in the water. I will be going on a cruise in Feb 2020 and get a chance to try it in the water then.If I have any concerns, it would be with the reliability and replacement of the zip tie. If the zip tie fails, likely the GoPro and the mount will fall to the bottom of the sea. a secondary safety strap would be helpful.Overall, pending my upcoming snorkeling opportunity, I think this should work out quite well.

Cheaper Way to GoPro Enable your mask!
I live on the ocean and have a number of ScubaPro Scout masks which are high quality and fit every one that’s ever tried one on. They’re my favorite masks after having tried dozens, but ScubaPro doesn’t offer a GoPro version that I’m aware of.I was researching masks with GoPro mounts when I stumbled on this. It seems to provide a solid mount for the GoPros and at a much cheaper option then shelling out another $100 per mask.I do think this product should be around $6 as there isn’t much too it and I did have to break out my dremel to get it to fit perfectly, but I only spent about 10 minutes fitting them on 2 masks. I thought they would. E a perfect fit for ScubaPro masks, but I did have to do some simple modifications. I assume they are designed to be modified to fit any brand split glass mask. You can use side cutters to modify this part instead of a dremel if you don’t have one. (See my photo of the side cutters next to the mask to understand what tool I mean. This is the tool that ScubaPro showed in their instructions that came with the mount)Tips: bend / crease the zip tie 1/4” from the end without the locking mechanism. This will help you to route the zip tie through the plastic channels on the back of the go pro mount. There is a 90 bend the zip tie has to follow and it’s very difficult unless you bend the tip first.I also dremmeled the 2 plastic prongs on the front side of the mount (see photo with red mark) down 1/8” to 1/4” to get a good fit.Lastly, I cut off the excess Length of the zip tie and then dremmeled the sharp edge from the cut so I don’t rub a hole in my mask.Pro: Cheap and easy way to GoPro enable the mask you already have and love.Con: It’s about 200-300% overpriced. I think it should sell for $6-$8. But again, it’s cheaper than buying a $100 mask.I’ll use it in an upcoming dive video. You can check out the live footage on our YouTube Channel. “Key West Salt Life”Just look for a recent dive / snorkel video as we’re heading out to the reef in a few minutes to teat these out. 😀

Does not fit a ScubaPro Zoom mask
According to the ScubaPro website, this attachment would fit on a ScubaPro Zoom mask. However, the way you attach it to the mask is via a zip tie (which they included). You also have to cut the tabs on the side to get this to sit centered on the Zoom mask.My wife (who does not dive), said that the whole process of attaching this to a mask seems haphazard and jerry-rigged together and not what she generally sees from how scuba gear is put together.Save your money on this attachment. Totally not worth the $26 I paid to do "arts and crafts" trying to neatly cut the tabs to fit the mask.
