Good product

Our thermostat quit and it was difficult to find a replacement. This is exactly what we had. The instructions were so easy to follow. It did take me twenty minutes, but that was my lack of confidence and three times reviewing the instructions and the photo I took of the old one before disassembly. The process was ridiculously easy and it has been working wonderfully. Thankfully, it arrived quickly as we had been without heat or air l (fifties at night, nineties during the day.) Thank you.

It is exactly what I need. Easy swap out.

Our old thermostat had the up button stuck so we weren't able to increase the temperature. Ordered this last week and already have it installed. Installation was easy, at least for my husband. I'm not we'll versed in installing things like this. So far everything is working well. I do wish the batteries weren't placed directly above the switchboard. Looks like our last one had issues with the batteries which caused damage to the switchboard. That's just a design feature I wish would be improved in the future. Overall, happy with this purchase. Price wasn't bad, shipment arrived timely and undamaged, and installation was simple.

This replaced an identical ~40yo thermostat that had a worn out temperature setting button. Yes, I'd definitely buy it again.INSTALLATION TIP: Take photos of internal settings & connection before old thermostat removed, to make replacement a snap.

When the existing thermostat on our heat pump (with emergency heat) failed 2 days before company arrived, I quickly purchased this replacement. My major criterion was needing a tstat as large as or larger than the existing one, so I would not have to touch up the paint around it.The new one is installed and seems to work properly (haven't tried the heat setting yet), but there are two big issues:1) The manufacturer decided to save a few pennies by putting in 1950s-style flat screw terminals, rather than less-ancient type terminals. So, you have about 8 small wires to wrap around 8 equally small screws in a small cramped area. If you can find a friend with tiny fingers to do this part, I'd suggest it. Before powering it up use a flashlight to carefully look for tiny strands of wire accidentally bridging from one terminal to the next. Be particularly careful with possible bridging from the B screw to the adjacent resistor.2) The screw terminal issue is a one-time problem, but the second issue will haunt you every time you look at the tstat. The problem is that the display uses old-fashioned LCD which cannot be viewed from the side. You can read the temperature and setpoint if you look straight at the tstat, but if you are even a small amount above or below every number looks like an 8.There are many thermostats available, and this particular one should be way down on your list.

THIS THERMOSTAT SAVES ME MONEY ON MY POWER BILL .This thermostat has an accuracy range of only 1 degree. It comes on when it is one degree below your chosen temp and runs only until the A C has reached the higher end of that chosen temp and it shuts off.This keeps the house very close to the temp you want constantly and runs for much shorter periods of time but still keeps the house at my chosen temp constantly . It is saving me about $45 to $50 a month .I had a Home Depot bought thermostat put in when my prior one broke about 4 months ago .That thermostat had a accuracy range of about 3 degrees therefore the A C ran constantly and for very long periods of time making the house colder that I wanted and let it get a couple of more degrees warmer than I liked .This ran my power bill up at least $50 more per month .I LOVE THIS THERMOSTAT !!
