Pricy but good.
While the price is kind of high, this is the good stuff. It has a durable and flexible insulation to fight abrasion. The individual strands are tinned to help prevent corrosion. The wire itself has MANY strands to allow great flexibility and prevent wire fracture in vibrating environments. All these features are needed in a boating application. However, it also make for a great wire in any other application. The only drawback is the slightly higher price when compared to "regular" wire.

Perfect for Outside Applications
I recently worked on building a solar generator and needed reliable marine-grade wire that could withstand extreme outdoor conditions. After some research, I decided to purchase the Ancor Tinned Copper Wire, 16 AWG, Red - 25ft, and it has proven to be an excellent choice. This wire is impressively durable and designed to hold up in tough environments. The tinned copper construction ensures that it resists corrosion, which is crucial for outdoor applications. Despite being rigid enough to handle the elements, the wire is still remarkably easy to work with. It strikes a perfect balance between flexibility and strength.Stripping the insulation was a breeze, and the wire didn't fray or break, which can be a common issue with lesser-quality wires. Tinning the wire was also straightforward, and it held the solder well, providing a solid and reliable connection. This ease of use saved me a lot of time and hassle during the installation process. The 25ft length was just right for my project, giving me enough wire to complete the job without having to splice multiple pieces together. It offers the durability and reliability needed for demanding projects, and it's well worth the investment.

A solid stranded wire!
No, it isn't a solid wire, it is stranded. I just had to make a play on words, well, because...This is probably a little heavy for my needs (I could get by with 18 Ga.), but I wanted a good, all around wire for 12V applications. This suited me fine. I figured tinned wire would hold up better for use in a Kayak. The wire has a nice, heavy jacket, and only melts a little when you solder it in,lol. Overall, I'm well pleased with my purchase.***As always, I have neither asked for, nor received, any compensation for my review. This is my own, un-biased opinion. (And lots of it!)***

Can't comment on the marine aspect, but well made wire.
They were selling this wire at a good price and it fit my specifications so I said why not? I used this to string together a battery pack consisting of 12 volt batteries. This well made wire worked quite well.
