Uchida Pigmented Permanent Fine Point Fabric Marker: Magenta

This marker does OK on fabrics that are not too soft.If you just want a fine-tip almost-purple marker with inconsistent color? Go for this.It will leave a reasonably clean line on the cloth with minimal bleeding, but the edges are fuzzy not tidy.The color is closer to purple than pink, especially if your fabric is not a bright, true white.The ink does not seem to set very well into synthetics, like poly/ray/etc.Also, this pen will soak up water or moisture very quickly. Make sure that your fabric and surface are totally dry before use, otherwise the ink will retreat inside of the pen, and you will have to use scratch paper to get the ink to flow again. This sponge effect is what causes the color to appear lighter or faded, depending on how fast you move the pen, and how long the tip stays in contact. You'll need to use consistent speed and pressure when inking in order to ensure a consistent color.Make sure you leave your work in a dry place, and give it a lot of time (at least 24 hours) before washing.
