Very nice chair. See my details for some valuable assembly hints!
This is a very solid and well built chair, rivaling anything in the box stores for this style and for a considerably better priced! It is also very comfortable and in my opinion does not sit too low. See below for tips to break in the cushion. The faux leather is very nice. It is NOT shiny like the photos. It is more of a nice matte finish. If you look real close it has a very slight/subtle dimpled surface. The cushions start out very firm but will break in. To accelerate this break in process...while standing over the chair, and with both fists clenched and elbows locked, push (don't punch, lol) your fists downward and into the cushion. Do this all over the top surface of the seat cushion. Repeat until you get the desired release in the surface when sitting.I will mention some things that probably are covered in other reviews. I have put together desks and tables and chairs before. This chair assembly is on the medium difficulty level. But not impossible. Go slow and use my hints and it will all be good. I would allow an hour or so for un-boxing, sorting parts, assembly, and clean up. The instructions are less than clear/obvious, it's all pictures, so you may have to look at the pictures, and look again and again, and maybe even experiment a bit...hence the first rule is do not super tighten anything until you are ALL done and then tighten firm, but not cranked.Tip #1, on the under side of the seat cushion there is a hidden chamber. Unzip the fabric to reveal the three holes where you will insert bolts to secure the seat to the back. The instructions do not show this!Tip #2, only put one of the arms on at first. Why? There is a cross bar that will go across the front between the two arms and they will have the wooden dowels. The only way to get the cross bar in place with the dowels mounted is to insert the cross bar into ONE arm first and then mount the second arm to the chair, pushing it into the other dowel. If the two arms are in place already there is no way to get the cross piece in between the arms with the dowels mounted.Tip #3, an allen wrench comes with the box, but you will need a philips screwdriver for one step, probably a flat head screw driver for another, and a hammer or rubber mallet(more preferable if you got one to reduce risk of dinging the wood). The mallet/hammer is to pound in place the before mentioned wooden dowels, and also needed to put in place the 6 wood finishing knobs covering the bolts.Tip #4, A small flashlight is handy for checking alignment of holes so the bolts go into place easily. In particular the step with the "bran nut' is hard to gauge. Looking in the hole with the flashlight you can adjust the bran nut with the flat head screwdriver so it lines up just right before putting in the bolts.Tip #5, out of the box, mine had a couple very minor cosmetic blemishes that will need a buff with super smooth sand paper and a spot of stain. These were not major damage and not worth the trouble of returning for a replacement. If you experience this and can fix them (or ignore) and they are not major issues, call amazon and ask for a compensation for the blemishes. In summary, this is a really nice, classy looking retro chair at a great price, built to last and worth a little extra effort to assemble.

Great sleek chair for a great slim price
It was a challenge to assemble but with the help of other reviewers and their tips it was fine. The chair is so solid and sturdy. The cushion will take a while to break in but that's all furniture. It is an attractive well made chair, period. I feel very comfortable with a large guest sitting in it. The shipping was fast and the packaging was superb. Not a scratch on it.

Especially for the price - Fantastic
Durability over time is TBD but so far, these chairs are super affordable, stylish and easy to assemble!! They are quite firm which I personally prefer, especially if you add a pillow. The faux leather is soft and easy to keep clean. Seems to be strong and real wood frame as well.Definitely recommend if you are trying to update/upgrade from ikea/target/homegoods furniture but still on a budget.

Yes, buy this chair.
I really like these chairs! They are very sturdy, attractive, and comfortable.I am 5'4" and can sit with my back against the back and rest both feet on the floor.Assembly was not difficult,I did it by myself. The instructions are ok if you go slow and check everything you do. No missing pieces, no damages.Go ahead a buy this chair, it's looks better than you think it will.

Nice chair but don't pay too much
Great chair, I got lucky and got it for a hundred and twenty five Washington's. Easy to put together, good quality parts. My girlfriend says it would cost 3 or 4 times what I paid elsewhere.Comfy to sit on, albeit a little more upright than i was expecting. That's a personal preference and not a knock on the chair.Recommended for purchase but maybe not for more than a couple hundred.

Comfortable, extremely stylish, incredibly sturdy and durable
Absolutely love this chair. I ordered two of them for a sitting room, and they were better than I could have wished, especially for the price. While being fake leather, it is very high quality and tear/puncture resistant. It took about 15 minutes to put together per chair. While the cushions are on the firmer side, they are still extremely comfortable for long term lounging/sitting. The back is angled perfectly for comfort, while sustaining good back support. I could not recommend this product highly enough.

Nice chair…
Ordered 2 of these chairs. They arrived safe and sound, no scratches or dents and nicely packaged.Easy to assemble, very sturdy and look so nice..A little on the uncomfortable side, but, believe that with time and use, they will soften up…I recommend these.

Buyer Beware! Cheap manufacturing process. Poor Instructions.
Chair looks great. My wife ordered it, so of course I had to assemble it. What a frustrating ordeal.First, the instructions were missing a page. Only half of the parts were labeled. I had to figure out which bolts go to which holes based on intuition, not the instructions. The instructions say if you have an problems to contact customer service, but there's no number to call or website to visit. Do you want me to contact you or not? I'm guessing not.Lastly, and the worst, the pre-drilled holes did not line up properly on the right side of the chair. I had to spend several minutes with a drill making the hole bigger so there's more wiggle room to fit the bolt in the side of the chair. Really, these pre-fabbed pieces of furniture should at least have the holes line up, so you just screw the bolt in and be done.I would not recommend buying this chair unless you want to solve a puzzle, which part goes where, and want a side project drilling a proper aligned hole.
