Good setup, have some extra screws on hand
I bought the Johnson 1500 Pocket door frame (actually two for converging pocket doors). It is a good frame, but pocket door walls are always a bit flimsy. I bought this frame clip set to stiffen it up, and then I can hang something a bit heavier where the doors are (heavy picture, coat hooks, etc). The kit was good. But they provide only the exact number of screws.....so be careful not to lose one. Actually, they only provide enough screws to barely attach part of the top/bottom clips to the metal studs. I think they provided 16 of the #6 x 1/2" flathead self tapping screws. The self tapping screws work well. But if you put a single screw from each of the metal clips into a stud, it takes 32 screws, and 64 if you want to put a screw in each hole in the clips into the studs. Of course, #6 x 1/2" flathead self tapping screws are really hard to find in stores. So if you want to put in all the screws, you will need to have an extra 50 #6 x 1/2" flathead screws, drill a hole for each and put in the regular (non-self tapping screws). Not a huge deal, but honestly, it seems they could put screws that probably cost them $1 to have a few extras and enough screws for all the clips. THe kit does make the pocket door setup sturdier. Hope this helps.

Nice kit to strengthen wall
Kit provides an effective way of increasing the rigidity of the wall where the pocket door is installed. Kit provides all the hardware, you supply the plywood. Installing multiple new pocket door assemblies during my remodel and these kits create a better/stronger wall for mounting Sheetrock.

So few screws, for the inflated price... not even enough screws for one screw in every bracket...
I am ok praying the price premium to johnson hardware. the knockoffs on this stuff are 1/2 the price. But come'on -- screws are cheap, why did you provide so few screws?!. The good: they provide screws to mount the brackets. The bad, they provide like 1/4 the number os screws you acutually need. Each bracket has 3-holes. You would assume that means they would provide one screw for each hole. WRONG. you would assume that would provide at least two screws for each of the three holes? WRONG. Some of the brackets dont even have more than one screw in them....crazy...

Good product for adding plywood to assembly
Easy to use and works as stated. Seemed to me the screw quantities were off. Not enough of self tappers and too many bracket to plywood screws.

Big difference in sturdiness
Makes the pocket door frames much more sturdy and helps with noise as well.

Incomplete hardware provided/Incomplete instructions
32 clips and only 16 self tapping screws for mounting to the steel supports? First I only received 14 of the 16, but my issue is why not provide 64 screws to provide a complete system. The instructions seem to suggest not screwing the middle two brackets per support (16 brackets) to the steel supports which leads you to 16 screws if only 1 screw is used per top/bottom brackets. I think an over zealous bean counter got involved here. I purchased the additional screws myself and properly installed the brackets.

Exactly what i needed to reinforce my wall.
Worked great to reinforce my walls with wood in bathroom for tiling on my pocket door. Cons: I only needed one box.

One package will do 4 panels or 1 door
On package will do 4 panels - was unclear when I ordered these - come in package of 2 - which will do 2 full doors, or 8 panels. Be aware that you will not have enough self-tapping number six screws to attach all eight panels - be prepared to the use other screws.
