My whole family really likes to play this game. The game is played by adding tiles to build routes but roads, rails, and rivers but all must align so it’s not too simple and results are always different. It is challenging enough to be fun for the adults and yet still easy enough for small children. The images on the cards are amusing and it is well made materials, not flimsy. The box is well organized so all the pieces fit neatly when not in use. We are very happy with the purchase. It is not dissimilar to Water Works card game but each player must add to the same route instead of having your own individual path to build.

This is a great game - it can be super simple, but also pretty complex. I play it with a smart 4-year old. The tile building reminds me of Carcassone. It's simpler because it's just tiles & no strategy in "claiming land" (like Carcassone). There are three elements - rivers, roads, & railroads - so you can simplify it for younger kids - only looking at the roads, for example.

Bought for a friend’s Grands. Received rave reviews. Grandma was thrilled to see them occupied, with older child teaching the younger ones. It was a gift for everyone.

I had this game about 20-25 years ago when I was a kid. I remember having tons of fun with it, though I never remember playing it as a "game". It's really great as a big set of cute, colorful, sturdy cards that can be interconnected to building a crazy system of rivers, roads, and rails... The artwork has changed since I was a kid, honestly I remember them being a bit more detailed and less cartoony. There's a surprising amount of white space on these cards, but no kid will mind it, I'm sure.This is sold as a "game" where players compete to use up all their cards first, thus ending the game with a "winner" and one or more "losers". Really the best thing you can do is throw the game instructions away and make your own cooperative game out of it. Since you have to use up all the cards for someone to "win" anyway, you might as well make it about finding matches and building rather than about winning. The box claims "3 games in 1", but the variations just seem about making the game more cutthroat and going out of your way to keep other players from being able to play cards on their turn, making it even less fun for some of the kids.I play with my daughter and we just draw 10 cards each to have a variety to work with, put out a starting card to build on, then take turns playing a card. We draw a new card at the start of each turn, and if we can't play a card it goes to the next person. Pretty much same as the game rules, but there's no focus on winning or losing, we work together to try and keep building and have a ton of fun as our network bends, turns, branches and wanders all over the table. Who needs competitive elements?

We loved this game when my daughter was a kid, and played happily with different ages. I bought it for the toddler in my life. I'm sure we will get many hours of pleasure as he grows. At four, he is most interested in the pictures and making up his own game.

My daughter and I played this for hours and now my granddaughters and I can play it. Easy to play and good learning tool for kids.

This game is fun as a game, but will also keep kids or adults entertained just creating river, road, and rail "maps". Each piece not only has various configurations of rivers, roads, or rails, but a unique scene or funny picture on it. Our favorites are the UFO lifting a cow, the unicorn in a field with horses, and the sea monsters in the pond! The pieces feel thick & sturdy and will not bend easily. With a 7 year old and a 2 year old this will be a favorite for may years to come.

I had this game when my boys were young, so I bought it for my 5 yr old grandson at Christmas. He likes it as much as my son's did. He is really into thinks that go, and enjoys doing puzzles. So great fit for him.His 3 yr old sister attempted to play, and if we keep her pieces to.the simple ones, she joins in.Ravensburger products are of good quality and great value. I have never been dissapointed.
