Comedy superstars Louis C.K., Eric Stonestreet, and Kevin Hart make their animated feature-film debut that finally answers the question: what do your pets do when you're not home? When their owners leave for the day, pets from the building gossip with their friends, satisfy their sweet tooths, and throw outrageous parties. But when a pampered terrier (C.K.) and his unruly new "roommate" from the pound (Stonestreet) get lost in the urban jungle of New York City, they must put aside their differences to survive the epic journey back home.Bonus Content:The Humans That Brought You PetsAnimals Can Talk: Meet the ActorsAll About the PetsHairstylist to the DogsThe Best of Snowball"Lovely Day" Lyric VideoHot Dog Sing-AlongBrian the Minion on PetsGo-Pro: The Secret Life of PetsSing TrailerMini-Movies. Review: Great movie for kids and adults alike. - This review is of the 4k/bluray/digital combo set. In my review, I cover the movie itself, the bonus features, 4k quality, and the digital edition, organized below. The movie: I originally saw this movie in the theatre. It is absolutely hilarious. Anyone who has any pets will find at least one character that reminds them of their own pet. And it helps you imagine what they might be doing when you are away from home. The story is excellent for kids. For example, although they get off to a rocky start, by the end Max and Duke become good friends, and brothers, after they work together to get back home. The experience enables them to take the time to learn about each other. Also, although Snowball the bunny spends much of the movie acting badly, he redeems himself at the end rescuing Duke and Max. Bonus features: There are many good bonus features, including 3 mini movies. The mini movie featuring Norman the guinea pig is the best. The bonus features, however, are not in 4k and only on the regular bluray disc. 4k: The 4k quality is awesome. This is the first animated movie I've watched in 4k. In my opinion it works better than live action movies at the 4k resolution. Digital movie code: The digital code is for Movies Anywhere. This is an excellent digital program that provides a variety of ways of watching via any linked retailer. I recommend redeeming the code directly through Movies Anywhere. The digital version will stream in 4k through any of the following apps (I have them all linked to my Movies Anywhere account): Movies Anywhere, FandangoNow, Vudu, and Google Play Movies. However, in Prime Video, only HD is currently available. Most of the bonus features, however, are not available in the digital version, and those that are depend on where you stream. Specifically, the 3 mini movies will stream from Vudu and FandangoNow. But none of the other bonus features are available in the digital version. Review: Fun - It is a nice comic book.

Looking through the eyes of a 6 year old
i have a son who can't talk, but communicates well. He bought a toy dog Max before the movie came out. Now he's not a huge movie watcher, but if it has a fish or a dog in it he'll watch it. I took him to the theater, and he saw the picture of Max the dog. He pointed at it and I told him that's the movie we're going to see. He smiled big. My six year old boy along with every other kid in the theater laughed so hard throughout the whole movie. My son rarely laughs at funny parts of movies, bc he doesn't understand it, but this movie he understood and laughed, and he made me laugh. He was hugging me throughout the whole movie that was his was of saying thank you mommy, I love this movie. His favorite scene that he laughed the hardest at was when Max and the other dog find a sausage factory and are in sausage heaven. Every kid loved that scene. After the movie we had to go to Walmart and he found a talking Max plush toy. He's been carrying him around all over. I took my son to see Zootopia, and half way through he got bored, but my teenage daughters loved it, why? The plot was geared towards grown kids and adults, however Secret life of pets the plot is so simple that kids absolutely love it, and for that I loved it! My kid sat through the whole movie and the credits he didn't want to leave. By the way my teen daughters loved that movie, too. Remember, it's suppose to be a kids movie, not an adult movie, and this one is the kids kid movie! Love it!

Definitely recommend if you’re an animal lover…
The Secret Life of Pets is such a fun and entertaining movie for both kids and adults! The storyline is clever, exploring what pets do when their owners are away, and it’s full of adorable characters with unique personalities. The animation quality is great, with bright colors and lots of detail that really bring the pets to life. The humor is lighthearted and perfect for family movie night—there are jokes for the kids, and a few that adults will appreciate too. My only minor critique is that the plot can feel a bit predictable at times, but it’s still thoroughly enjoyable and keeps everyone entertained. Overall, it’s a delightful movie with lots of laughs and heartwarming moments. Definitely recommend if you’re an animal lover or just looking for a feel-good movie!

Bought as a pending gift for a 5 year old boy. First impressions are that it looks really good quality and it's packed really well (sealed with cellophane around box). The little dog toy is roighly 7 1-2 inches or about 19cm in height. There is DVD of the film inside but as it's sealed - I cannot tell you any more about this. Value wise, I paid a great price during Black Friday sales (almost half price). As a birthday/Xmas gift - this would be ideal for little boys and girls.

A good story and some great writing make this a very good movie. The story was a bit predictable in a couple of spots but the witty characters keep you entertained. I think it still deserves the 5 star rating I gave it. Perhaps a 4 1/2 would be more accurate? Well worth the time to watch it.
