I had no idea this cloth could work so well.
I had no idea this cloth could work so well. I've used this cloth on a 70's classical guitar, a newer Les Paul, a rosewood Strat, and a vintage J-100, all with remarkable results. Tear off a strip of this cloth and just wipe your frets lightly at first, I'm betting the cloth looks like a coal mine, mine sure did, especially my PLEK cut LP. I keep tearing off strips and wiping the frets and board until the cloth isn't as grimey, then use a paper towel to wipe off excess oil. Not only does this cloth seem to fine polish the frets, with just a bit of grain to the cloth (not abrasive), and remove all the grime, but the feeling of the frets afterwards is the true reward. Not greasy, or over-oily. Smooth bends and fast runs. My fretboard's look better now than when they were new. I'm here buying another, is why I'm writing this review.

Excellent Product! Not a lame, watered-down, poorly engineered product like everything else.
This stuff is great. I have used this many times on many guitars for myself and friends and it always impresses everyone after they see the difference it makes. The first cloth lasted a couple years, I cleaned probably 6-7 guitar fretboards that had never been cleaned before.(We play Metal!) This is my second cloth and I expect to get about the same life from it as well. Leaves the fretboard slick as glass and conditions the wood making it look rich and new. It's worth the money and I can't think of anything negative about it. Buy some now and stash it back before they realize it works and change it.

Pleasantly Surprised You Might Be Too
I probably won't go back to using steel wool to clean fretboards/frets again, I'm pretty much sold on this. Tried it for the first time this week and the results were great. Plus I didn't have to go through all the hassle that comes with using steel wool on instruments with magnetic pickups etc. In my experience I had to use a bit more than 1 2'' square to clean the neck on my 5-string Warwick Thumb bass, but given that it's an extended range bass, I figured that might end up being the case. Additionally it wasn't very clean so there was a lot of work for the Gorgomyte to do. Anyway, I think you'll love using this as I did and I see it definitely replacing steel wool as my means to clean frets/necks. If you keep your instruments reasonably clean, it makes this product that much better. I used it on some of my actively maintained guitars and it was a dream to use.

Brightens frets right up
Definitely cleans up your frets. Tried with a maple fretboard and it seemed to leave a bit of grey behind. This cleaned up fine with a polimer eraser.frets look and feel great. Think it would be great with rosewood finger boards. The cloth gets black very quickly as to removes oxidation? From your frets. Reminds me of “never dull” polish with maybe some mineral oil. Not sure if it ever reaches the point where the cloth doesn’t blacken. Asked the seller this question on their website but no response. Curious as to wheather just funk is being removed or whether it’s essentially striping off a micro layer of fret which turns black ar a result of whatever reaction is taking place. For me much better than steel wool. No bits of wool left behind and no scratches to the fretboard.

The hype is real. Byeeee, steel wool and fretboard conditioner
I was very skeptical, but this stuff is magic. Conditions your fretboard and polishes frets 10 times better than 0000 steel wool. Never using steel wool again if I don’t have to. Tape the fretboard off if you’re using on a maple neck. Also, the cloth turning black is a chemical reaction, so don’t keep using more on your neck thinking it’s taking gunk off. Cut 2 squares and do two passes on your neck - that’s all you should need for it to clean off all that weird finger garbage you selfishly put on there.

Just BUY IT. It Works FANTASTIC
This stuff is magic. I have no idea how it does what it does, and I don't care. I use this stuff everytime I change strings. The necks of my guitars (all 11 of them) feel like new (well, except for the wore-out spots)after "Gorgomyzation" and the frets literally gleam, screaming "PLAY MEE!". It is NOT hype. Gorgomyte works exactly as advertised, and is not outrageou$ly $pendy, either. As my title sez: JUST BUY IT. You'll LOVE it.

Wow!
It took me a long time to buy this product. The hype was all over but the price kinda hindered me from purchasing. One day I said "whatever" and ordered it. Upon the first string change on several of my guitars I noticed a big difference. Wow! It cleans as advertised and the hype is real. This will always be in my guitar tool kit from now on. The only draw back is the smell on your hands. Whoa, when you open a bag that smell kinda lingers. However it does dissipate. Also I would recommend that you wear some disposable gloves when using this stuff. Yeah you can wash it off but its just easier. Gorgomyte is worth the hype! Go get some now!

Totally Awesome Stuff
I don't know how they came up with this stuff but it's magic. Expensive but once you use it you won't be without it. It can turn the worst fretboard into a new piece. Simply amazing stuff. You have to try it to understand but I warn you, once you use it your hooked. All you need is a 2x2 square for a badly scuzzed fretboard. I buy a lot of used guitars and clean them up. I wouldn't live without this. I keep at least two packs on hand at any one time. You will have missed something in life if you don't give this a try. It is groovy.
