McDonald tartan was the family dress for my son's wedding. I was so happy to find this lovely McDonald tartan fabric and made sashes for all the women and girls in the family. The fabric handles well and irons beautifully. So glad I found this at such a reasonable price. It matched beautifully with all the various McDonald kilts and skirts.

It’s always a risk buying fabric online, but I found that the yarns in this are very coarse and unravel easily. It’s not suitable for clothing, but may be turned into curtains.

Really nice quality

I was dubious about buying tartan at this price, but couldn't be more delighted. I wanted a length of Gordon fabric to make a stole but all authentic tartan materials are expensive. I took a chance on this offer and haven't been disappointed. - the quality compares well with other tartan items I own which were 4 or 5 times the price. Very good value for the money.

Unfortunately this item had 22 flaws in it when I received it so was rather disappointed. Found it a bit rough too. But my redund was accepted and dealt with in good time with no problems. Thank you.

You got to handle it with care because its original tartan and pulls off when working with, like all other original tartan fabrics, but once you are done, it is perfect and intact. I love it and will buy again. Its lovely and soft on the skin. I used a zig-zag cutting scissors and that help to control the pulling at the edges. Mu sister use tape, once perforated on the sewing machine is easy to remove.
