ARIATMen's Sport Square Toe Western Cowboy Boot

I've had this boot for over a year. I only wear these occasionally but did not need to break these in. I ordered these about half size smaller than my normal shoe size and then wear a reasonable sport sock which adds a bit of cushion. Also there is reasonable grip on the bottom which is great for walking around even in rain.

This is my second pair of Ariat boots and my first pair of cowboy boots from this company. These are a traditional style of cowboy boot with a 2" riding heel. Despite the riding heel, I don't find these at all uncomfortable to walk in although I wouldn't want to take them for a very long walk. The fit is good, but for a first pair of boots I would want to get fitted in a store (which is what I did, with my initial pair of Ariat work boots). The sole is sturdy and stiff, which is what you'd expect from this style of boot. The uppers are well-constructed and comfortable, but fairly stiff (again, that's what you'd expect with this style of boot). You will want over the calf boot socks with these.

Absolutely love these boots for work and our hunting property. Have worn them for 7 years or so and glad to find someone that has them in stock. These boots have been discontinued by Ariat and replaced with one that has a saddle on the top of the foot making the new ones fit too tight.
