After 10 years of working as a technology and IT professional, Robert made a drastic career change and joined the Army on September 11th, 2001 in hopes of becoming a helicopter pilot. This had always been an unreachable childhood dream. Robert served as an OH58D Air Cavalry Scout Pilot in the Kiowa Warrior, an armed reconnaissance helicopter, with Outlaw Troop of the 4th Squadron 2nd Armored Cavalry Regiment at Fort Polk, Louisiana from 2004-2005 and with Blackdeath Troop of the 4th Squadron 6th Air Cavalry Squadron from 2005-2009.
