The Beast: Monsters and Beauties, Book 1

Good afternoon read, the beast is delicious and every form and the love he has for Belle is so precious. It’s dark, and sexy. A little too quickly over. I wanted more. My first book by Miss Snow looking forward to more I give this book 5 stars.

Where to start with The Beast? As someone who loves both Beauty and the Beast retellings and monster romances, this book was right up my alley. I thought Snow did a good job at incorporating some classic Beauty and the Beast references (the roses, character names) while also making the story wholly and uniquely her own. Obviously, the Beast did return to his human form in the original story; however, in Snow's retelling, there's no magic involved, no human form to return to. The Beast is a beast for better or for worse, and it was thrilling to watch Belle fall for this hulking monster she found herself married to.The Beast was a pretty quick read; between the shorter page count and the action that kept me turning pages, I devoured this book in just a few hours. I loved how, over the course of the book, Belle came to realize that the monstrous-looking Beast was worthy of love and people like Gaston were the real monsters despite their outward appearance. It's all your Beauty and the Beast morals, but with a very healthy dose of spice.I would safely say this retelling is not for everyone. As a monster romance, there are many interactions between Belle and the Beast that may cross some lines for people. Even before they get together physically, there are detailed scenes that illustrate how Belle is coming into her own as she begins to see the Beast as more than just her new husband.Overall, I loved the plot and spice of this Beauty and the Beast retelling. It's dark and steamy, but still manages to question society's labelling of what's monstrous versus what's humane. I also have to praise Snow for making Belle a fuller-figured woman; a large beast would snap the usual depiction of Belle in half, so I'm glad to see that representation logically added to this retelling.The Beast was a quick, fun read that definitely packed in the spice. Beauty and the Beast fans who love to indulge in monster romances will definitely not want to miss this one!

A 3? I know… I didn’t think I’d be doing less than a 4 but 🤷🏻‍♀️ this just missed the mark for me. I amNewer to “monster” romance, where the h is a creature and doesn’t really become human/human-ish. This author has been killing it and she writes some good JP H in her shifter/Pnr series so I thought we’d get some of that juice. Overall it was good. Just too quick to really have much depth and kinda just didn’t connect with me.Some things 👑🦁 :-Monster H.. the beast is the beast he’s not gonna change into a human form ever and he’s not human like at all. He’s huge, hairy, has horns and a tail, and a monster D 😈. I honestly thought of him as a lion with horns the whole time. Worked for me lol. We do get some possessive vibes not much but a little.-h is belle.. sweet little village girl whose got a dad who gambles and owes Gaston a lot of money. Beast comes to the rescue and of course he gets belle out of the deal 😏-we meet then classic candle stick man, the cook, Mrs. teapot in people form which was cool. Lots of original beauty/beast Easter eggs like the clothing, the people instead of the items, the house, the roses, etc.-he has h bathe him .. basically a sponge bath but ya know he’s forcing her to see him nake-y and she’s like 😮😳🫣🤤 lol.-Primal scene.. No smexy time until like 80%. It is a run/chase primal scene and their 1st time together. Got some tail action in their lol-monster 🍆… we got a knot that in the MIDDLE.. yep! It’s ribbed, he’s got a node at the tip and of course it’s huge!-Lots of 🥜 🌰 💦… I mean when he is excited and is “leaking” we’re getting it steadily running down the length into a puddle on the floor. He marks her with it, and of course it gushes back out (yup- for some gaping in this one)-marking… he does bite her, his claws also poke into her so she says, he likes all over her, he makes sure his jizz is on her. All that filthy mess we love lol-quick … this was tooooo fast. It didn’t really develop for me. I think I couldn’t really connect into the story.-HEA … idk how long in the future the epilogue is but we know some baby is gonna happenI was kinda disappointed. I was really to one click buy this and I’m kinda glad I didn’t but it just fell flat for me. I didn’t really connect into the story it just didn’t give me depth 🤷🏻‍♀️. It was wayyyy to fast for me and I think maybe that’s why I felt like it didn’t have depth it was just kinda of a skimmed over version for me. I wanted more of them building, of the beast, of belle… it seemed that at one point it was just like FLIP- ok belle is all good, we know they have dinner every night but one see one dinner scene and now she’s ready to get hairy and filthy with our beasty boy… yeah 😑 no bueno for me.We know the next book is going to be “the hunter” and is red riding hood and the wolf i think and I added it to my TBR and I will be reading it. This doesn’t stop me from reading anything by her she’s been on point lately and I’m here for it, just not this one for me. But if you like monster peen and want something with a breeding vibe (he does want her preg/ heirs) and has lots of 🥜 and is a retelling- give it a shot!

Cute little short story. Great plot. Characters fit together. Lots of smut, I enjoyed the story. N, it was a nice little break from my usual. I thought to hold me over until i found my next read, but it was so cute that I'm going to check out the next recommended book. Also, there are not a lot of typos, which i appreciate. Some books have so many that it's hard to keep up with the storyline. So that was nice. N yes, HEA

As a Beauty And The Beast fan who was sorely disappointed when The Beast turned back into a prince, I LOVED this retelling where he is always a beast! It was a quick and sexy read that honestly left me wanting more and kicking myself for not picking this one up sooner!My TBR is gaining many more Jenika Snow titles! ❤️

Im still wrapping my head around what I read. Short story. Yes. Beauty and the beast with a twist. I don’t even know what to rate it right now (going with 2 because J struggled with this one). It’s spicy but um…I just don’t know how I feel about this one.

A spicy Beauty and the Beast retelling with interesting twists to the original story. Beast is all animal in this spicy tale. He’s not going to change to a human at the end, so if you love monster romances this is a must read. I loved this very adult take on my favorite fairy tale! I didn’t expect the way the townspeople would play in but enjoyed that aspect of the story. I thoroughly enjoyed Belle falling in the love with the Beast. She is his obsession and he craves her love and will protect and please her until he achieves that. Fantastic book! Can’t wait to read it again!

Well written and kept me engaged. Good story so I’m giving it 5 stars. Just not my type of monster

La descripción de la bestia me recuerda a un gran gato feroz.Aunque es corto, me gustó bastante.
