Costly but it is made as a correct replacement for the chair. Do not wash them with a power washer, we did and had to replace them, they cannot hold up that kind of power.

The sling to the chair is perfect. Fits tight and heavy duty. The chair is made well.

These came directly from Telescope and arrived sooner than stated. We have two original Telescope director chairs, probably about 40 years old. The new canvas went on so easily. Highly reccommend!

To install the seat, you will find that the opposite ends of each dowel/fabric edge are too large to fit into the slot. One side will be easy - push in the "slim" end. But the other side will be difficult to fit because of the fabric build up from manufacturing. For this side, Push the plastic dowel back into the fabric so iis about 1/4 in of "fabric only". I used a needle nose plier to do this. Use the needle nose pliers to pull the fabric into the slot followed by the dowel. Use the needle nose pliers to pull each side along the slots until fully installed. Be careful not to damage the fabric while pulling it through the tight spots.

The new canvas seat and back look great, but I did have some trouble inserting one side of the canvas seat into the slot on the chair. The quality control on the sewing needs to improved! I recall reading that others had a similar problem/complaint.

I bought these replacement canvas pieces for a Telescope Director's Chair that was originally purchased in the mid-1960's. It has been used 2-3 months every summer at our family's summer home -- either on a screened porch with no direct sunlight or on an outside porch with part-time direct sunlight. When the seat finally gave out last summer, I despaired about finding replacement canvas. I thought I would have to make them myself. When I opened the package, I was delighted to see that the replacement pieces are an exact match for the old canvas parts. Having read previous reviews, I replaced the dowels that came with the new canvas parts, and installed the new canvas on the chair. The seat piece was a little tricky to fit -- mostly because the old seat had stretched so much and was looser by comparison, but the instructions helped me figure out how to make it work. I am so delighted to find these replacement pieces. I'm going to order more to have on hand when the canvas seat and back on the four other director's chair finally give up the ghost. It's good to know the Telescope company is still around.

I repaced the director's chair covers in my sun room with these new same color white ones. I was disappointed that the price quoted with the covers changed and increased when the items went to my cart. Not sure why that happened. Like many other items the chair covers had increased in price from the last time I ordered them 2 years ago and also from the preceding week.

I found an authentic Telescope frame at a thrift store, and this seemed to be the best way to go as far as a cover. A little more than I wanted to spend, but fits great, seems very sturdy and looks good. Glad I made the purchase and expect it will last a long time.
